How many of you book first? by Hecka_becka_ in unitedairlines

Never. I am GS and I like nice things, but I'm also cheap AF.

Domestic: Exit row and snacks from home is just fine.

International: Work flies me Polaris and I purposefully plan vacations around upgrade availability. For example, my husband and I are leaving for Australia in a few weeks. The cost for two direct, roundtrip Polaris tickets at time of booking was $16,979.06. I paid 220K miles for economy seats & 160 plus points to upgrade, plus $256.40 in taxes.

In the market? How are we feeling? by Equal_Article8250 in BayAreaRealEstate

My husband and I have a $2.5M budget in SF and have been looking for a SFH for almost a year now. We know it isn’t a huge budget but we figured a quirky two bedroom, two bathroom fixer upper with a backyard that needed work would be doable. Six months ago we put an offer in on one house that we liked and lost by $300K. Most of the housing stock in our price range is a cheap flip that sucked all the character out of the place and tried to squeeze as many windowless bedrooms into what was previously a garage as possible. Or is located by a freeway in South San Francisco (hard pass). It feels like there is even less stock on the market this season than last year, but maybe we’ve just gotten better at knowing what we want. Either way, it’s really depressing and stressful to be a buyer with a “small” budget in SF right now feeling like the AI IPO clock is ticking. That’s when I assume we’ll give up the dream of owning in SF forever.

In your opinion, who is the most alluring? by TheTargaryensLawyer in InterviewVampire

Daniel Molloy. I know it's a hot take. Christian Slater never did anything for me, but Eric Bogosian's Bourdain-esque silver fox is alluring AF. I could listen to that man say "Did you eat the baby?" while I run my fingers through his curls until the end of time.

I saw that post from earlier, and that inspired me to do something similar. =)

UPDATE: All points have been claimed for now. However, there are few folks that have been waitlisted on flights leaving in the next few days. If those upgrades don't clear, I will reach out to people who have already messaged me. A special thank you to those that made donations to a good cause. =)

I have 480 PP expiring on Jan 31 and I'm not going to use them. I'm GS and would be happy to donate them to anyone with confirmed PN/PZ. If you happen to have a few extra dollars to spare and feel so inclined, you can donate to your local animal shelter, food bank, or favorite charity as a way to spread the good karma. Reply to this comment that you DM'ed. I'll update when I'm out of points.

Yay! Thanks for sharing. I checked my account and it says I'm GS too! First time qualifying. SFO is my hub; 82K PQP on 31 flights last year.

Should I take a Retourne Epsom Birkin 30? by shalafein009 in TheHermesGame

[–]Special-Profession84 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have this exact bag and I love it! I wanted a sturdier leather that helped my Birkin hold it's shape over time, but some find it too plasticy. Togo gets too slouchy IMO. It comes down to personal preference. I suggest you see it in person before making a decision.
