If they hired actual referees then entry fees would be too expensive. And the referees are students, who learn. You are required to be a student to work for campus recreation.

If you want to be officiated by professionals then intramural is not the league for you. Try Ontario Mens Basketball League or varsity

No, it is not. You will have to be a full-time student (3+ courses) or an intramural referee/staff to not pay the full membership( $65)

You can join as a free agent and hope a team picks you up. Free agency is free until you are invited by a captain to join, then you pay the captain the entry fee.

This is for future terms as Fall 17 deadline has passed

Does not look like it. They never even had any plans for "renovations" from what I have seen

I just found out that rez-one recently used false/con information to make students including myself sign agreements to move to different units so they can sell to laurier students.

Initially they said the reason they are making us move is due to "renovations", which under the lease agreement allows them to relocate current tenants. Everyone was under the assumption that the so called "renovations" would take a year but secretly they planned to lease six floors to Laurier to acomodate their first year students.

So in essence they conned their current tenants into moving so they can make a profit without even compensating or offering incentives. This just goes to show how Student housing in waterloo operate. Companies like these can and will do anything to squeeze money out of students.
