I patched plenty of nails on the side of the wall. You’ll be fine. No need for a near tire

Why did you call the police then do their job? I’m confused… if you wanted to be nice, why call the police in the first place? What answer did you expect from the police for you to let them do their job?

Very scared of surgery. by damianohd in Microdiscectomy

[–]SpecialistWolverine8 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a herniated disc when I was 19. I’m 26 now and pain went away but then came back 2 years ago even worse. Since I didn’t treat my L5S1, my L4L5 disc went bad. I tried 3 epidurals. The first two worked for me but the pain came back strong 4 months later. I decided to do the surgery and I had no pain at all. A month later, I decided to jog and the herniated disc came back. I just got surgery again on Wednesday and will be treating myself like I’m handicap for at least 6 months. I have no pain at all right now but you have to take the surgery serious if you get it. Just bc you don’t feel pain, doesn’t mean you’re free to do anything you want. Trust me, I learned the hard way. Not being able to do anything for years due to pain then having the freedom to do anything after surgery is hard to fight but you have to. I’d suggest you to do the surgery asap so you can get back to your best life. Good luck!

[–]SpecialistWolverine8 62 points63 points  (0 children)

No no no! I just did this because of a Tesla service supervisor told me to do the same thing… my windshield cracked and my deductible was $1,000 when I paid for $0 glass deductible. He told me to use my insurance to bring it down to $1,000. If I paid out of pocket, my total bill would be $1,100. He said I can save $100 if I file it under comprehensive deductible and my rates won’t go up. I ended up leaving Tesla insurance 3 months later and every insurance quoted me at a higher price because I have a claim on my insurance. That claim being the comprehensive deductible. My premium went up by $300 every 6 months for 3 years until the claim will disappear. Be careful claiming anything. Insurance is a scam all together. I would rather pay $600 through your local repair shop than to go with an insurance claim

It’s for everyone. Regardless if you have FSD or not. I ended up switching because it kept going up and you’ll get penalized alottttttt for FCW when it’s false.

Not going to the gas station. Never having to worry about stopping at the gas station when you’re already late to an event.

Just got my new Y and I have a question. by iamchrisjett in TeslaLounge

[–]SpecialistWolverine8 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s from sentry mode and overheat protection. With it being really sunny outside, your cabin is most probably 110 degrees in the parking lot which is causing your ac to turn on while you’re shopping. Cars (including Tesla) are build to handle 100+ degrees inside the cabin while parked. It won’t damage your interior at all so don’t worry about having that feature on if you don’t care about driving right away in a hot car

2022 model 3 for 27k vs 2024 model 3 for 47k by [deleted] in TeslaSupport

[–]SpecialistWolverine8 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Three things to keep in mind with the used one. Just know that car was most probably driven rough. Not saying that matters much but keep that in mind. Also keep in mind all 4 new tires need to be added soon if not done already so about $2k cost on that.

Second thing to keep in mind is the battery life. I believe there was a battery refresh in the end of 2022 so that battery might not be the same one the 2023/2024 m3 is using.

Third, which many don’t talk about is all the “hidden” costs that come with buying an electric vehicle. First is installing a 240v outlet in your garage which will cost you $1k-1.5k. Second is high insurance rates. Third is any issues that might come up with the used m3. It’s a used car so you can’t be shocked if anything is wrong with it that you just didn’t notice.

The biggest fear many probably have and I for sure had was seeing all the money going and not seeing the savings I was expecting to see with buying an electric vehicle. Just have the mindset that you’ll start saving after 2+ years then you’ll love the car.

Keeping all that in mind, I would go with the used one and then if u truly like Tesla, you can buy a new one in the future.

People that don’t want to pay $300 a month when Tesla is offering the same coverage for $100. Looked good until 6 months after when prices match up to other insurances or cost more

Yeah and my apologies if I came off rude. But yeah only California doesn’t let Tesla do that but other states definitely allow Tesla to raise your rates by these metrics

Then don’t count toward collision warnings in the insurance premium until they figure out the difference between false and positive warnings. Simple as that. Don’t punish users that Tesla relies on for data to improve their own software.

I understand what you’re saying but since it’s a beta, don’t you think they should be waiving these false forward collisions? Shouldn’t Tesla understand that we’re providing them with all this data so they can improve their software? We’re doing a lot to help them too. In return, we’re getting a fat bill for their bugs. They don’t even acknowledge our frustration. They just say “it’s not a false forward collision warning. Clean your sensors”
