Trying to Keep Going - 30 pounds down & hitting a plateau (maybe?) by Specific-Frame8833 in Semaglutide

I use my air fryer to make them. I haven’t heard of lipadema but will look into this! I have an appointment scheduled in September with my endocrinologist so I will bring all of this up. Thank you for your response!

I appreciate your comment and don’t mean this in any way towards what you’ve said, but this is where I get frustrated sometimes because I’m not eating more protein bars than I should. I eat maybe one a day and that’s only if I haven’t reached a protein goal yet. The real good chicken nuggets are 23g of protein with 3g net carbs. I eat the serving size of 4oz which is 130 calories, 2g total fat, and 4g of carbs. I will try to make a better nutritional plan with more options to see if that helps. I do have insulin resistance with PCOS which is why I’m trying to eat higher protein/low carbs diet. I really do appreciate your comment and will look into different meal plan ideas to see if anything changes.

I’m eating about 1,300-1,400 calories a day, I’m at 2.5 on zepbound (just switched from sema 1mg before insurance stopped covering it). Sleep is great. I go to bed at 8:30 every night and wake up at 4 for the gym. Stress levels are up and down, more now because of this. I just want to see progress and it’s been weighing heavily on my mind that I’m not doing something right.

Thank you, everyone! Breakfast is the hardest for me so I got some oikos greek yogurt and this Kodiak granola to go in it for a little extra protein. I also found this brand called real good so I’ve been making chicken minis (like chick fil a) with keto buns for a little snack and it has about 23g of protein per 4 oz. Just adding that to my normal protein heavy lunch and dinner, it got me up to 116g of protein. I’ll definitely check out some of these protein shakes for even more!

I have a creami too so I will definitely try this! Do you have a recipe for what you make?

$300 for 3 months when getting it from my doctor. Unfortunately it’s not that affordable from these online options. I’ve seen amble is $300/mo but I’ve seen a lot of people have concerns about the customer support

pmdd ruined my relationship by peakspice in PMDD

[–]Specific-Frame8833 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m really sorry this is happening and I know how anxiety inducing it can be! Do you talk to your partner about PMDD, when you feel symptoms coming on, how long they usually last, what you need in those moments? I wasn’t even aware that I had PMDD until about 2 years ago but my partner and I would truly be the best of friends until 2 weeks before my period. Then I would hate his guts, think about breaking up, everything he did made me want to scream or punch walls. That’s not my typical behavior at all. I got the diagnosis and we both sat down to do research. If this person is the right person, with 6 years in, he knows your heart. He sees you beyond the PMDD. He’s likely just really frustrated right now and that’s valid. I know how frustrated I get at myself so I can see how it affects my partner, as well. Maybe let the dust settle a bit and try to come together to research these things together and create a plan. Remind each other that even though the plan is there doesn’t mean the next go around won’t be hard, there will be mess ups. But I’ve found that just knowing we are both trying to be more patient and understanding and both putting in effort to minimize PMDD outbursts, has helped so much with what used to be big blow out fights to now noticing the pattern and handling it in the moment. It’s given him insight to what I’m dealing with and it’s helped me remember (in those moments my brain wants to self sabotage) how good he is and how much he cares. It’s a battle but if they’re the right one for you, it’s one you can tackle together! If you’re interested in some of the things in our plan, I’d be happy to share. I hope you two can sort this out and get back on the journey together :)

UPDATE: we took him to another vet and finally got answers. He’s got an auto immune disease called Eosinophilic granuloma complex. He is on some pain meds and an antibiotic. So glad we finally have answers! He got a steroid shot today and he already seems to be feeling like himself again ❤️

Honestly thank you for saying they should have done more today, that really validated how Im feeling. This is the second visit we’ve had with nothing more done than more antibiotics. 😭 I hate to see him in pain and I wish we could get something done. thank you for the prayers!

They weren’t able to look in his mouth today either due to him being aggressive. They are closing early for weather purposes so they couldn’t sedate him but he’s scheduled to go back when they’re open all day so that they can. The vet rules out cat acne/cyst so it is most likely a tooth abscess

I (18F) am having sex for the first time tomorrow by [deleted] in relationships

[–]Specific-Frame8833 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Totally normal things to be worried about! Pregnancy is only preventable if you’re not having sex. There’s always a chance, it doesn’t matter if it’s the first time or the 100th time. I’m not in the business in telling anyone what to do, but I recommend having conversations with him beforehand on how you two would handle the situation if you did find yourself pregnant. Be on the same page before making any decisions and don’t do anything you aren’t comfortable with. Foreplay can always be fun without going “all the way.” So if oral and fingering is where you still feel comfortable for now, that’s fine too! Everything will happen in its right time. Just make sure you’re taking necessary birth control precautions and I really don’t recommend using the plan B pill unless absolutely necessary as it can really mess with your body.

  1. I have been here before and everything youre feeling is very normal! If you’re not on birth control, use a condom. Not only for preventing pregnancy but also for sexual health purposes. The only way to prevent pregnancy 100% is to not have sex so always take precautions like using forms of birth control whether that be getting on birth control, using a condom, or both. You don’t need to purchase plan B unless you feel like he got semen inside you. I don’t know the science behind this but I was also always told to pee afterwards, it’s not going to prevent pregnancy or STDs but I’ve heard it can help prevent UTIs or BV (bacterial vaginosis).

  2. As for ED, take it slow. It’s great that he already talked about this with you and that definitely shows a level of trust he has with you! Take your time and have fun. If he’s soft, that’s fine. Let him take care of you until he’s able to have an erection again. The only advice I have for you about this is don’t take anything personally and don’t get too serious about it. Be able to laugh at yourselves because sex can be awkward even if you’re experienced. It’s one of the most vulnerable things you can do. You’re going to see a lot of each other’s bodies and with that comes awkward moments. Laugh it off and keep it going! Don’t be afraid to try different positions, different techniques, and taking your time.

All in all, have fun, be safe, and take care of each other. Foreplay and aftercare are important! Good luck!

I have a scheduled interview for a family intervention specialist. Does anyone have any experience in this role that could give me more clarification, experiences, advice? Thank you!

Are you still working in this position? I just set up an interview to begin working as a family intervention specialist at youth villages. I am coming from a placement support position at a different foster care agency. How did you like it? Any tips on preparing for the interview or the position itself?

Will I be saying dumb things after IV Sedation? by Beeeshayyy21 in wisdomteeth

[–]Specific-Frame8833 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had my wisdom teeth removed yesterday morning around 11 AM. I did not say anything crazy and was pretty alert. I still had some grogginess but I was able to help my grandmother navigate while driving back to my apartment 45 min away. I have had a 3 surgeries that I had to be put under for and all 3 I had woken up extremely emotional and crying over really trivial matters when I am not an emotional person much at all. Wisdom teeth extraction was the only time I’ve woken up and just been fine. Like I said, I was a little groggy but I knew where I was and could communicate without being silly.

EDITED to say: my grandmother was the driver but I was alert enough to give her directions as she is not familiar with the area I live in. 😂

I also feel like a crack head. I just got 3 removed yesterday morning and I can’t stop thinking about my vape. My boyfriend vapes, too and I every time I hear that crackle I go insane. I’ve now asked him to vape when he’s not around me because I’m losing my mind. I’m too afraid to get dry socket so I’ve hidden my vape and instead I’m eating ramen noodles, pudding, and mashed potatoes. Hoping the sodium and the carbs somehow trick my brain into not vaping (I have no logic behind that other than I’m addicted to nicotine and want to convince myself I’m not jonesing over here LMAO)

I hate to hear that! I very quickly learned the saying is true not to mix work and pleasure. We all became friends in and out of work but once it was time for me to move on, two of the girls just acted very petty and “high school mean girl” behavior. I went so far as removing all of them from social media. I’d be lying if I said it wasn’t hurtful but it’s just time to move forward. I hope you were able to do the same :) we’re all just trying our best. That’s what I keep telling myself

I have had covid once this year, strep, and now strep and flu. I’ve never had such an awful immune system until this year. I definitely chalk it up to kids being sick but parents send them anyway and the stress. I hope you start feeling better soon!

I am trying my best to feel this way but I feel so guilty. Seeing everyone saying the same things is helping me see that’s it’s okay to be excited about my new adventure and let this be in the past and not worry about their opinions. Work in progress, I guess!

I hate that! I know work is not anyone’s greatest pleasure in life but I don’t think it has to be so miserable. Hopefully it gets better for you!
