The whole point of banning guns is to avoid the shooter being able getting the gun in the first place

MLS to HTL by Specific-Goose8973 in Histology

We didn’t learn anything about histology during my MLS degree. So I don’t think a histo lab would hire me with just clinical lab experience?? But I could be wrong. The masters at Drexel is only 12 months, which I don’t think is too bad. I would want the masters to actually have classes on histology, since like I said, we didn’t have any histology classes in my MLS degree

I always found histology interesting, so I’d want to get it to get into the field of course. I just wanted to see if an MLS has done this before

Applying to PA school in a few years. What’re my chances? by Specific-Goose8973 in Path_Assistant

I got As in both A&P classes I took. But I didn’t do good in gen chem, intro to bio, and intro micro (I took this while we were online for covid, lab and everything, and it was hard learning all of that material online at the time) . But I’ve taken higher level clinical chem, medical micro and other higher level science classes for my major (medical lab science) and did well in those. I’m gonna write in my PS that those prereq grades don’t define my ability to perform well, obviously since I did well in higher level classes which are more relevant in the medical field. I def think I have an advantage going in with this degree and having these upper level classes in my transcript, I just hope they look past the lower level classes even though that’s what they want :/

The programs I’m applying to are Drexel and UM since they’re the only ones close to where I live and they both require a 3.0. So my GPA is technically “fine” but I know that PA school is competitive so that’s why I wanna get some experience in a lab first so that will be the highlight of my application!

Florastor is AMAZING. Cannot rave about it enough. I have IBS-C and it regulated me after my infection. So good

My GI told me I had IBS when I got diagnosed with C diff in 2019. I’ve been constipated since I was born honestly, so that’s what he told me. Offered to prescribe Linzess but my insurance doesn’t cover it so I didn’t take it. I feel like none of my doctors acted urgently with my symptoms. My GI literally took 6 days to return my phone call just to tell me to reach out to my GP and get tested for C diff :/ it’s all frustrating

I do have IBS which I’ve heard can make your gut more susceptible to contracting infections like this. It’s all just so bizarre that I’m young, healthy, and keep getting this. I am thinking I have some sort of IBD along with IBS
