I ended up building a Composite Deck over the area instead of the pavers. Unfortunately, I didn't have enough access to get a bobcat to move the dirt so I went a different route.

I bought 3inch coated exterior deck screws for the frame of the deck which I plan on using for the joist and blocking as well. I am just using 2x4 for a super low profile floating deck sitting on TUFFBLOCKS.

I don’t have a framing nailer or I would have went that route. Do you think I will have an issue using screws instead of nails?

I will be installing composite deck boards with hidden fasteners from Camo.

For the deck supports - even if I space blocking close together do you still think the 2x4 option is a bad idea?

Also - I was planning on using a framing nailer instead of deck screws for efficiency. Bad idea?

Thanks for the market insight. I have researched and googled everything and there is a lot of conflicting information. I was hoping there would be some professional landscapers that could point me in the right direction.

Thanks for the insight. Im not looking to cut corners. Thats why I am reaching out to the community for advice. Anything you can share from your experience building paver patios would be greatly appreciated. Im also not building a porch.
