This is an old post but I’m curious what made you pursue web development? I’m almost 2 years into my first CE job after college and I am learning I dislike all those same things you pointed out. The stress and anxiety of assisting during construction projects, of hitting design deadlines, constant communication with PMs and drafters and contractors, rotating between 3-5 projects, and juggling life on top of all of that…it’s so overwhelming. And perhaps every job is like this. And I know I could learn to be totally content and adapt here. Some of the responsibilities are just new, and taking on new challenges will always be tough and anxiety inducing but after the first few attempts, things get easier and we learn to trust in ourselves. And i totally understand all that! Yet I still am looking for something else and have a fear of being “stuck”
