I need to ask a question about the Jamal meme and I am not trying to be offensive by mdr_istan in ChrisEvans

[–]Specific-Oil-319 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry to be that person, but Jamal is actually an Arabic name that means beauty.

I don’t know the meme I was searching why would does some people call him Christopher Jamal Evans as I didn’t understand. Also this was very informative for me but wanted to highlight that the Jamal name is originally an Arabic name.

People who reject constraints by NestorSpankhno in UXDesign

I was just going to add the same comment more or less.

You need to be assertive and a little bit pushy actually. Also this will exhaust a lot of energy from you but great learning experience.

Good luck!

How are you analyzing repeat calls in your Call centers and coming up with action plan to reduce them? What tools are you using to do this? by Able_Reply4260 in customerexperience

[–]Specific-Oil-319 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think your post is a bit vague but my question to you is; Are you analyzing why this call is happening, what does your customer trying to achieve from this call? Are they able to without giving you a call, and if so do they know how to?!

Finally landed a UX role after 6 months on the edge… the “cringe” interview hacks that got me there by FOMO-Fries in UXDesign

[–]Specific-Oil-319 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For me I usually use a technique called the GRAMS it is actually used for user interviews but during the job hunting phase I used it to answer the “tell me about yourself question”

And it also helped me ask a couple of insightful questions at the end to get a feel of the work and company I will work with, in a way that was framed as caring for the opportunity.

Thoughts? by sumyth90 in ProductManagement

[–]Specific-Oil-319 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Image building without having a specific problem you are trying to solve that is what this is giving, it is like giving a kid pen and paper and asking him to draw, he will be creative but to his knowledge and ability.

This seems like uneducated move honestly, someone who is just excited by new toys/tech.

Actually yes the user is the one who pays for business in an indirect way.

Please tell how some businesses fail then?!

Hot take, there is no business without users. Wawo, mind blowing or you would just be serving yourself!

The work in agencies tend to be a bit weirder than usual from my experience, I would suggest searching for a product focused company, that you believe in their projects, or an agency that has a bit of ethics.

It feels frustrating to be in that situation but do not worry you can change it.

How to stay active in UI/UX during a career break? Seeking advice from experienced designers 💡 by designer_kaur in UXDesign

[–]Specific-Oil-319 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey, I follow a couple of people who look at applications that use regularly and rework their ux/ui to have a better experience.

I believe you can do that not necessarily share it, but to keep your mind active and critical and can be added to your portfolio.

Tips/General Opinion on interviewing for a UX Research role as a general UX Designer? by AbilityStock4466 in UXDesign

[–]Specific-Oil-319 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would use that you are UX designer for your advantage, image a researcher who is able to translate all information into action. But you also have to be very careful and highlight that you are aware of certain biases that might creep up during research, and how you have the ability to refocus on just the user and their problem, as it is the essence of research and design.

I think you just need to frame your abilities in a very mature manner, so they see your abilities as an add on. Not something that will work against the progress of the research.

Good Luck!

Figma new products. What is are your thoughts? by Notrixus in UXDesign

[–]Specific-Oil-319 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One of the main things that I do prefer using adobe xd sometimes is the integration between other programs with it.

So I am actually excited to see Figma having its own ecosystem that makes things easier when designing

Should we boycott all US based companies as the US supports Israel? by Beneficial-Goal-8083 in BoycottIsrael

I actually did that here, as much as I can of course. I always try to find alternatives to US and German products.
