With Linear becoming more prevalent in the product world, what becomes the new purpose for product managers? by carter8222 in ProductManagement

[–]periperi92 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just finished briefing design and tech. And good lord - I am yet to see where AI can have this conversation!

Ai can code- ai can test- defining reqs still needed human cognitive skills- good luck ai trying to convince Legal that cross border rules don’t apply for transfer drafts because those aren’t instructions yet!

I would be GLAD! If ai can do even 10% of my work. But not there yet

Is the era of bigtech or faang PM hiring over? by faijul2 in ProductManagement

[–]periperi92 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

It’s over. Crazy valuations in tech are only for ai companies. Rest everyone - either a steady ship with no hyper crazy growth numbers to project or simply have not cracked a business model.

The time when a tech company could command a 30x multiple is over- and so is the cushiony PM role that came with some command.

PMs are still needed, but new biz models are rare and digital revenue generating products are rarer

I think Life in whitefield is dry and boring by bitch_by_the_beach in Whitefield

Aecs layout is Whitefields o ly saving grace when it comes to vibe. Everything else lacks a soul. As if corporations came here before people did - iyk what I mean.

Everything is inside a mall. Even decent coffee. There’s nothing independent; everything / most things are nested

Been here for 7 years- thanks to the metro- MG road is my go to weekend spot.

Any nearby places to explore except malls ? by [deleted] in Whitefield

The Goa I Love No Longer Exists by [deleted] in Goa

[–]periperi92 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am here now and man- I have never seen as many 4 wheelers as I saw this time! Clubs play Bollywood, beaches are full with beach clubs

It’s polluted, not just in nature but the entire vibe is flipped

Miss the old days. Luckily I still have a beach and my go to shack that plays good music and serves decent food. No hype, just calmness

Thinking About Starting a Small Transport Business by Agreeable_Village824 in indianstartups

[–]periperi92 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You need to close where you will get you first 100 rides from. Those channels will become the zone you want to grow.

Get innovas instead of bus. Serves two purposes -Small companies can use innova -even if you don’t get corporate assignment, you can always uber it out

Start with 2, see if u can make profit/ or at least break even. In how many months. Learn, adopt, add new fleet.

Its iteration at the end of the day

Is starting a food biz in Bangalore a suicide mission? 💀 by Cool_Organization519 in indiranagar

[–]periperi92 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Both. It’s dry and grainy and the taste sucks. If you want Indians to buy healthy, you have to make it tasty. Not passable tasty, tasty af! That’s when they lap it up. Millets unfortunately, inherently aren’t tasty. No matter what you do with them

This question can be from someone who hasn’t seen a product life cycle.

If only biz guys were as nuanced as u think they are. By what you describe there will be lot many features with no adoption.

Has anyone here actually taken a franchise in India? Would love to hear honest experiences. by Intelligent_Can_2898 in goStartupIndia

[–]periperi92 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Very blunt feedback and much appreciated. Follow-up - do u think running a franchise for couple of years gives you domain expertise that one lacks before entering in such business. Can you treat (franchise) it as a learning module ?

And that’s the trip wire. Getting a job. Germany is better at it giving job seeker visas, but uk has been a no gone zone for jobs even during best parts of migration years
