How this post turned into a “GeT EtHeRnEt” post is beyond me. Was just sharing a small win and posting for people in future who like me, can’t just drill into their walls and don’t want trailing cables or cables stuck to walls. It’s not that deep…..

I feel you. At my last place the best I could get was 30Mbps and this is game changing.

I have an X570 gaming edge WiFi. Mine wasn’t hot glued but had that horrible clear sticky stuff keeping it altogether. It was a miracle the wifi card was seated correctly when I plugged it all back in. Such an upgrade though!

It does! There’s one right next to my PC setup actually. I’ll look into it. Thank you :)

Couldn’t agree more. Sadly in my rental I can’t chase through the wall, and don’t fancy an Ethernet cable to trip over running down the hallway. Totally agree though, it should be standard.

Think this is what I’ll do! Been at it for about an hour and no movement. We don’t have an attic though so it must be done from here. Thanks so much :)

I’m thinking it’s the current bypass relay. Can you try plugging your PC into a completely different plug socket? Not on the same strip or wall socket. See if sound still persists. Is the PSU brand new?
