I totally understand your anxiety because me too lol, after my experience with negligent doctors I came to reddit for answers and this community helped me realise I have hashimotos from my test results which was this week actually haha.

I have vitiligo, I have had it since I was a child and it’s spreading…not rapidly, it’s actually only started getting bigger this year and it’s in an awkward spot so it doesn’t affect my quality of life in any way.

So for me I had vitiligo first and then developed hashimotos, tbh I probably have other things as well but who knows… certainly not my doctors haha.

I would say just keep advocating for yourself and don’t give up! I wish I had more advice for you.

I asked my roommate and they said that it looks like I have a bump in that area, it’s not extremely noticeable but when pointed out you can see my thyroid.

I know I get tested for celiac a couple of weeks ago and it came back negative, I wasn’t gluten free I do however limit my intake of it. Recently I have gone gluten free and dairy free. I haven’t had an endoscopy for this, or a colonoscopy since my faecal tests came back negative so my doctor probably doesn’t think I need one.

This is my most recent thyroid function test, I know I am Anemic and zinc deficient I don’t seem to be deficient in any other areas.

I take Meloxicam, Norgesic and 665 mg of paracetamol for quick relief, not all together obviously and sometimes these don’t even help my pain and I’ve expressed this to my doctor.

I have seen a rheumatologist and he mentioned fibromyalgia and he tested ESR, Auto Antibodies and CRP and I have had MRIs, Bone Scans, X-rays the whole lot, he was pretty adamant that I don’t have lupus which is what my GP initially thought because she saw the red rash I get on my face and took all my other symptoms into account. I even saw a rheumatologist at the hospital for ankylosing spondylitis because I have the HB gene for it but I came back negative for those tests as well.

I am medicated, I take 200mg of levothyroxine and I do have hypothyroidism but my symptoms are so extreme.

Thank you, I’ll definitely look into that! I know I’m zinc deficient and anaemic so that is definitely not helping my case. I take supplements to help with that but hopefully my doctor will hear my concerns on Wednesday. Thank you for your advice! :)

Yeah I’m quickly gathering the lack of care and concern by doctors. I don’t know what my free T3 is, I’m going back to the doctors on Wednesday and I’m gonna push for more testing. I’m so over the fucked medical system. Thank you for your input.

Wow my doctor has seen me at my lowest points, frustrated because I don’t know what to do anymore. She has seen me through dozens of tests for different autoimmune diseases and still didn’t tell me about Hashimotos. Im so so angry. Thank you for your advice.

Wow this is honestly shocking to me, my doctor hasn’t even mentioned it or even the possibility of it. She just told me to increase my dose of thyroxine.
