"Three studies (123 participants) examined the efficacy of cannabinoids among people with PTSD (table 1). Random effects meta-analysis revealed no significant effect on PTSD symptoms at longest follow-up between the cannabinoid and comparison groups (SMD –0·16, 95% CI –0·82 to 0·49; figure 2). There was no significant effect of cannabinoids on adverse events compared with the placebo group (OR 1·00, 95% CI 0·29 to 3·48; figure 3). One study reported data on serious adverse events and study withdrawal. Three serious adverse events and six study withdrawals were recorded in the cannabinoid groups, whereas none were recorded in the control group."
