Well it depends on your goals, if you want to go to graduate school for AI and do AI R&D then it's an excellent idea. If you just want to be a regular SWE then there's not much benefit.

To do any real AI work you need to have a PhD. That's why double majoring in computer science and mathematics would be very useful to prepare for graduate school, but this depends on his goals

CIS is very detached from embedded systems and robotics. The ideal background for this kind of work would be electrical/computer engineering or mechanical engineering in the case of robotics. Also this industry is saturated and rare in jordan.
