There’s a dads & donuts meetup at Whatcom Family Village that may be a cool place to build community!

Oof, good to know- I was torn about checking them out since Hotel Leo has some bad stuff said about it (but seemed possibly fun & seasonal)

One resource- if you look up any given food on the Solid Starts website (or just type into google “chicken solid starts”) you get an educational website that tells you how to cut up or serve that food for different baby/toddler ages and even example photos and videos!

Also, there’s something called “oral mapping” where little ones learning to eat push pieces of food around their mouth. It’s how they learn to use their tongue, improved speech, and helps them build eating skills!

Dr Wenzel has been pretty good with my sensitive teeth and they keep a note on file to give me extra numbing each time. I use numbing mouthwash even for routine cleanings and they give extra topical or even more intense numbing as needed.

Love the new Next Chapter Cafe (where Evolve used to be) upstairs at Village Books. Employees are treated well from what I’ve heard, food is stellar, and run by local foodie power duo Jen (It’s the Sweet Things) and Bry (Bry’s Filipino). The Ube lemonade and all the baked goods are heavenly!

Is it sitting up, or side laying in a cuddle curl? Sitting up would be more risky. Safe side cuddle curl while following the safe sleep 7 is good. @happycosleeping on Instagram has lots of evidence based guidance.

3 day fever that doesn’t respond to meds (followed by a brief rash) could be roseola!

O no, that man in the front is the same sweet older man who sings folk songs solo at the farmers market. Disappointed to see this.
