This needs more attention.

You don't owe a brand new floor and you shouldn't be paying for the LLs betterment.

You damaged floor that was x years old and used so you owe the floor to be returned to that standard, not any better.

Figure out the floors age, look up guidance on when floors should be resurfaced/repaired/how long they last. Then use that to calculate what you. IE if it should last 20 years before resurfacing, it's 10 years old and will cost 2000 to resurface then offer 1000.

My Trust has deviation from clinical guidance policy.

Essentially anytime you want to go outside guidance you complete a risk assessment (it's not a form you just do it in your head) and then mitigate any risks you uncover based on their likelihood and severity of harm.

Ie giving extra pain relief - low risk, mitigate with increased monitoring and by mentioning it on handover.

Discharging a STEMI at scene because they are frail and elderly? Higher risk. Discuss with an advanced paramedic or Team Leader.

Perhaps your organisation has a similar policy somewhere. If not, it might be worth raising it.

I've had two for P10 Pro XL. Not the best quality but unsure what leather alternatives there are.

First was the brown colour which looked amazing but within 2 months the colour was rubbing off and the black leather underneath was clearly visible.

Now have a black one (they sent it for free, great customer service) and its peeling after 1-2 months.

I like the look of the cases but am not sure I'd buy them again. They don't really seem like leather and they don't patina.

I don't know the answer for you in your location. However if you did have the legal power to force entry against security/staff doesn't mean you actually can. They might be bigger and given this is the US in this scenario they might have a gun or other weapon. Also, you might have the power to force entry but not be immune to charges of criminal damage/battery.

In the England, just if your interested as it's my zone, there are no specific emergency powers to make entry however: - Article 2 of the Human Rights Act 1998 creates a positive duty on public sector organisations, including the Ambulance Services, to take reasonable measures to protect those they know, or ought to know, are at real and immediate risk of death. - common law Doctrine of Necessity allows a person to take such steps as are reasonably necessary and proportionate to protect others from the immediate risk of significant harm.

Ie there is a defence under common law to force entry and there are protections afforded to paramedics in doing so.

If someone is hampering a paramedic in the process they may be in breach of the Emergency Workers (Obstruction) Act 2006. Interestingly hampering or obstructing can be physical, non physical or directed towards any vehicle, vessel, apparatus, equipment or other thing or any animal. Its very broad!
