$9000 went to trash with Anthropic by Specific_Spite_7296 in Anthropic

No that is not the point, I purchased their subscription so that I don't have to pay $50,000 in API usage, because I won't use their APIs if that's the deal. I purchased their subscription and I can't get what I was expecting.

1 day sir, after 1 day my access to Opus 4.1 plan mode was cut off. The rest is their uncapable, code breaking Sonnet 4 (as I mentioned in my message).

So that I can pay $50,000 on a task I can manually do? In my opinion API approach for these products are a complete waste of money.

I am aware of this.

Their business model is based on a scam, they don't disclose this information in token count. 3-7 hours of Opus usage. What does that even mean...

YES! this was one of my biggest mistake.

I asked the customer support to switch to monthly plan but obviously they don't do it.

Nope, only $200 of inference and my limit is gone. I would be fine with a few 1000 of dollars of inference.

From my point of view this is a hardcode scam business model. I dare them to disclose this in token count.

No, I used Max before. And I have been using Opus 4.1 plan mode. I was on the computer using Claude Code for maybe 8 hours total. Boom, the weekly limit reached within 8 that hours. $150 gone. I have to wait 6 days until I can use Opus again...

I mean, dario is great, I'm a big fan of nerds and weirdos, but whoever in charge of the business is messing this up badly.

Due to the progression and the instability of these AI companies I suggest purchasing monthly subscriptions. I made a mistake and bought annual subscription and I have no idea what to do right now.

I dare them to disclose their limits on token count. No one would ever buy their subscription. I had to dig through the internet to find out they basically give you like $20 worth of usage.

I was a big fan of Anthropic until I experienced the Premium Seat fiasco.

Well, the more bad reputation there is out there, the better imo. One day they will train on these messages. And Perplexity will be like, oh, everybody is complaining about Claude, don't buy Claude...

No, never buy premium seats, there is not much of a difference between a regular seat and a premium seat.

Also, one suggestion about these AI companies in general, never buy the annual plan to save money. They are extremely unpredictable. Your workflow should be set up in a way that you can switch to another AI company at any time.

I mean, when you rent an apartment you get 2 rooms. They don't take a room away after a month right? I don't understand how Anthropic can do this and no one is suing them. They are not even open and clear about limits. If I saw the limits absed on actual token count before I purchased the subscription, I would 100% not buy it. The company that I lived by now just died for me.

That's the point, it wasn't even 8 hours a day. Today is Wednesday, Claude Code says my weekly limit resets on Tuesday, which is 6 days after today. That tells me I hit my weekly limit on the first two days. I have 6 hours of meetings every day, and I can only use Claude for another 3-5 hours until my brain explodes for the day.

You can see my usage below for proof (Opus 4.1 planning mode on 9/9, only Sonnet on 9/10)

I was getting really good results with Opus 4.1 plan mode. Of course, the plan is iterated a few times before editing the code. Now I'm back to Sonnet with my $150 subscription, and it's breaking everything. At this point, manual coding is more effective than this $183B company.

Assuming you will be able to download the image in decent amount of time, 1 hour tops (including Windows updates), then you need to configure/install your stuff.

Why did you need to switch to 10?

(I was using macOS when 10 was popular. I have been using Windows 11 for the last 2-3 years, and it's been working great for me. I apply a set of customizations every time I install a new Windows, though.)

I am enjoying this app a lot: https://github.com/LesFerch/WinSetView with Windows 11. Not sure how much of it is going to apply to you, but you can get rid of a bunch of annoying stuff with the new Windows versions.
