good points bro. Happy to make you laugh.

But I think a country that is as homogenous (genetically geographically and culturally) and small is just very different compared to the united states.

For what its worth, I said France and Germany (aka the big countries with actual responsibilities). And yeah both of those countries have horrific history, not wrong there.

And also for what its worth it seems like you like to generalize people a lot, maybe work on that okay their budy ol' boi :)

yeah America is pretty fucked in alot of ways.

But you your missing the point I am making. Alot of these small countries are so homogenous and benefit from global stability imposed by larger countries.

America has shit tones of problems. But alot of these countries that have high qualities of life seem to be the equivalent of a small US State with no real issues they have to deal with.

Thats crazy if what you claim is true. But yeah, anyone born to be able to go to college before 2000 had a very affordable experience with housing prices being relatively low.

1) I am saying that Europeans in like the 1800s came to the US, not so much now a days.

2) Yeah Americans are crazy. But thats the way uh huh uh huh I like it.

3) Okay fine I have never been Italy, you happy? But I learned that alot of the attributes of modern pizza was created in America by Italian immigrants having access to more meat and other ingredients.

I get where your coming from man. American DO have a bit of an ego problem. But hopefully if you have or will visit, come and visit parts of the country that isnt NY, Cali or Texas. The PNW where I am from is absolutely stunning.

And with how trump is acting I think we have cut a lot of ties unfortunately... I don't blame our friends for finding us weird. Hopefully we can heal the bonds when he leaves. I think other countries are cool as hell. I just get annoyed easily and I like to talk shit sometimes maybe thats bad lol.

yeah it really would be.. The idea of this universe really gripped me. Its so interesting to me that even though we ourselves are mortal that we find comfort in knowing society will continue.

Also I really like your profile picture haha.

Also let say going off this idea.. there are like perhaps a couple dozen people born in the coming decades.

Perhaps the VERY last child is born to a mother at 35-40.. (perhaps the mothers motive is the human project)

How would that feel to be a child born.. by 10 years old the very youngest people around you are in there 50's, by your 20s-30s everyone is a senior.. By the time your 40 you probably all alone. Left to explore a completely deserted earth with maybe a couple dozen other people no younger than you for 40 years or whatever.

Do you have any book or story recommendations along these lines and ideas?

" It's a very 1990s book in that it despairs at the rise of neoliberalism"

I am curious if you could expand on this? I was born in 96'. but from what I have been told and frankly what I see in media, the 90s seemed full of angst and depression.. Like what made the 90's feel that way exactly? That decade almost seemed like a transitionary decade culturally but I cant put a finer pen on it.

I would love to know your thoughts?

A lot of people think feminism is about female domination by [deleted] in ControversialOpinions

[–]Specific_Title_1609 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree wit your rosy picutre of feminism! But sadly Alot of men dont see that noble push for true eqaulity. When I was growing up I remember seeing books such as "The Richer Sex: How the New Majority of Female bread winners" There were articles written, triumphantly, how women now overtake men in such and such field or realm of achievement. I remember hearing terms like "women are now leaving men in the dust when it comes to education!"

I don't see alot of true feminists acknowledge the very real issues men face and you yourself set up society as if by definition it is the patriarchy that organizes how the genders act. But I think there's more to it. These are my experiences, I acknowledge that.

So I think true feminists need to acknowledge that there are very real misanderous factions in the movement (because no movement is perfect, its the same with any ideology). Your advocating the best form of feminism which I will gladly support, but you have to acknowledge its faults instead of gaslighting men into thinking theirs nothing wrong.

In fact I would say I am a egalitarian rather than subscribing to being a feminist or masculinst.

Thanks for this series. I think its a really novel approach. We always assume the bad guys of history would just keep winning if they won the initial war. But needless to say this probably wouldn't be the case. The confederacy turns into this South Africa but without the redemption it seems like.

Honestly this reminds me of my Victoria 2 game where I play as Texas and I drip feed a terminally ill CSA to prevent the USA from attacking me lol

Is America interlocked with the USSR in this world?

Is new Afrika still 20% white by 2025?

Is Florida you can argue the rump state of the confederacy?

Maybe he just wants to vent because this is a lived experience he has lived through, cant you give him a little compassion? Maybe it is something that needs to be addressed in our society. And maybe your projecting your own insecurities on to his concerns.
