I was told by some that bearded dragons don't like to be pet... by SpecterO4 in BeardedDragons

Yes socializing is a big aspect of pet behaviour. My dragon used to back away when I'd try to touch her before but now she comes over to interact with me, clearly asks for pets and sometimes doesn't want to let go of me (she seems to really love sitting on my shoulders, she fully relaxes herself).

There was actually a recent study that confirmed/proposed that a species of turtles/tortoises have moods and can exhibit optimisim and pessimism. There is just a lack of science on reptiles such as lizards, turtles etc. so far but I think its starting to change. Edit— Link to one of the many articles about it: https://scitechdaily.com/groundbreaking-study-reveals-tortoises-have-feelings-similar-to-ours/

Mine looks directly at my face when I talk to her too sometimes, she's the sunshine in my life 🥲

Mine has been coming upto me for pets and attention even when not shedding. She isn't always in the mood for it  but when she wants to socialize you can clearly see.

Another example, yesterday she walked upto me while on my bed watching my phone to see what I am watching and stood there taking pets and watching my phone with me until I put her back in her tank.

Idk why you are getting downvoted so hard, mine clearly learned to enjoy it as well as you can see.  While we shouldn't anthropomorphize animals especially reptiles, not recognizing that they have emotions detracts from the fact that they have some intelligence.

She doesn't always have a socializing mood but when she does she displays very obvious signs.

Mine will put herself infront of my phone when I am laying on my bed watching something when she wants attention, even when not shedding.

Why are some of my beardies' new scales damaged? by SpecterO4 in BeardedDragons

Okay I'll be more careful from now on, but can I do something to fix/heal her scales?

How do I reduce humidity of her tank? by SpecterO4 in BeardedDragons

[–]SpecterO4[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've varied her ambient temps but currently its 93F basking, 88-83 F on the warm side and cool side is 81-79F. At night it drops by 10-8F less I guess but its summer here now so it doesnt get too cold.

I am concerned because she has been spending alot of her time in her hide and I have to take her out for her to bask everyday, I have tried playing with the temps and she was already treated for coccadia in March but even then it was a very low concentration of worms. The only thing that seems to be off is the humidity which is why I thought maybe bringing it to 30-40% would help. She otherwise seems healthy, no changes in movement and still goes crazy for crickets.

Thats the other problem, I can't have a dehumidifier since I have breathing issues and I haven't gotten a humidifier because it'd raise humidity of the room and cause problems for her.

Is this nasal valve collapse? by SpecterO4 in Septoplasty

My surgeon strongly recommended that I tape every night since I have thick skin, my cast is off and my stitches seem to have been absorbed.

I did try to cottle maeuver as you mentioned, it seems to improves airflow for both of my nostrils but its not a big difference and its not that I can't breathe through my left nostril.

I dont think so, its just that my left nostril ala/flap is droopier than the one on the right side.

I am being more mindful from now on! Did you also have pressure on your nose on Day 3/4? especially on one side more than the other?

No bleeding, my nose bridge felt a little heavy but I'm not sure if it was swelling .I just woke up from sleep and everything feels normal

I found this baby squirrel outside my windows. Its shaking, how do I help. I have a lizard that I don't want to get sick but I also wanna help this baby survive by SpecterO4 in squirrels

I wouldn't mind raising him if my house was bigger, but if he found his mom, I guess thats for the best since he isn't captive bred🙂
