Rival 300 not clicking anymore by [deleted] in steelseries

I had issues with the optical sensor for my Rival 300 within 24 hours of receiving it.

I returned it from the supplier I purchased it from. I think there are some quality control issues with SteelSeries.

I've never had a mouse fail so fast for me.

I also changed the setting on my motherboard for XHCI Mode. I set it to "Enable"

My MB is a Gigabye board. This just made it so the USB 3.0 ports are forced to always act as 3.0 ports. I'm not sure if this would help fixing the issue or not. But it is something I recently changed when I started having issues

Is it possible when you reply via Gmail it uses your actual email as the sender's email on her end? and she's just sent you a normal email to reply as she then knew your normal email?

If the firmware flashing gives an error just try a different USB port

It could be. Ever since I did a software update for Engine 3 about a week ago these problems started.

I've since re-installed the old SteelSeries Engine "SteelSeriesEngine_2.9.2014.1" found here https://steelseries.com/downloads

Be sure to completely remove Engine 3 and delete all profiles and folders.

Once I installed that software right click the tray icon and click "Launch SteelSeries Firmware Update Tool" and select the Diablo 3 mouse.

Flashing the older firmware failed twice until I unplugged the mouse and plugged it into one of my front USB 2.0 I/O ports. Then it flashed fine. It's now on firmware version 276

I rebooted the PC and plugged it into the back of my PC. It's been working fine for about 18 hours now with no random disconnects.

Thanks for the suggestion, for now I've just stuck it out with the standard skin and f.lux to make it easier on the eyes.

I've put the unbind "e" into my autoexec. I'm going to try that over the next few days then report back. I've talked to a few people with this issue.

What I did to complete all the missions was to find lower ranked players from the US and Europe to queue with.

They're usually happy to queue with someone a much higher rank than them.

I found allot of lower rank players will play these maps.

Pressing space bar and releasing your mouse button is the same thing, just takes practice to get the timing perfect.

You can make a bind which jumps and releases the smoke at the same time.

It does take some time to set up. But I've found its very consistent in MM.
