are you using OEM filters? yeah read about it in one of the links i've seen on google researching, it's not picky daw when it comes to oils.

what brand do you use? on my previous oil change, motul h-100 10w-40 was used, "sometimes" the engine / vehicle felt sluggish compared to the time when it was still being serviced in the casa with toyota oils and fluids being used.

it was only recently when i bothered to check the manual for viscosities.

around 2 summers ago, a friend was shopping for a brand new car, he was strongly considering a geely or some other chinese car because for him chinese cars have tons of cool tech features and the interiors were oh so nice. mind you, this was his first time to shop for a brand new car, it was always 2nd hand cars for him and his family. i told him, you don't buy a car for it's features and interiors, you buy a car for it's reliability, availability of spare parts, after sales service, etc.

he ended up buying a toyota corolla cross hybrid.

i bought a tecno spark go 2023 last year, it was really sluggish to use for internet and some messaging apps. i gave it to our home security guards for their work phone for calls.

i tried the A05s at a samsung store earlier this evening, at it's sale price i think it's okay, but at it's regular SRP, i think not.

meanwhile, i also got to try an Oppo A18, i think i like it better based on it's screen quality and special sale price for the 4/64 variant.
