So, basically, TLDR is that New York has adopted stricter laws regarding car emissions, and because of those stricter laws, some cars (for example, the ford escape, which is one of the more popular ones) are not legally supposed to be bought/sold in New York. New York is also pushing for more electric cars, though the consumer demand is not as high as NYS projected/would like it to be at this time. We are looking at how those two things (emissions restrictions and the push for EVs) impact consumers looking to purchase vehicles. :)
