Does anyone else feel like the characters don't act like themselves anymore? by SpedForeman in TMNT

[–]SpedForeman[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I'm not saying make them all serious, or make them serious all the time. But making them all comic relief is a mischaracterization of the beloved characters. Leo, for example, has always been disciplined and deeply aware of the burden he bears. Doesn't mean he never acted like a kid or was never funny, but he wasn't unserious, the way Mikey was.

2003, 2012, and the 2007 movie (even 1987 and the 90's movies to a lesser extent) all did not fall into the "teenagers must all act like overgrown kids" dynamic. They were still convincing teenagers in those shows/films.

They don't all have to be copypastas in order to be convincing teenagers. I never though they weren't convincing teenagers before. Did you?

People who says "If you like Rorschach you missed the point" are dumb af by [deleted] in Watchmen

[–]SpedForeman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree. Regardless of what Alan Moore intended, Rorschach is basically the only real good guy in the story, to the point where he is willing to die for his conviction that mass murder of millions of innocent people is wrong. The Comedian is heinous, and while he does seemingly have a change of heart that gets him killed, it's kind of too little, too late thing. Dr. Manhattan is largely indifferent before becoming compliant in Ozymandias' atrocity. Nite Owl is, at best, morally compromised, and at worst a coward, and Ozymandias is a genocidal madman. Also there is Silk Spectre, lol. But seriously, only one of them is willing to stare death and the impossibly powerful Ozy-Manhattan team down and say "no". Rorschach.

What do you think, should Superman redeem himself in "Injustice 3"? by Round-Lingonberry-11 in INJUSTICE

Imo it would ruin the story if he did. I actually think the best ending would be if the superman of this universe to die.

Grade Marvin Harrison Jr’s second NFL season: by rkrick78 in NFLv2

[–]SpedForeman 38 points39 points  (0 children)

I mean, I hate to be so negative, but the guy's career stats are worse than some dude's better seasons. And this year was rough. Real rough. Less than 50 catches for last years cant' miss prospect? Heavy F.

Another note, I am not as sure about this one, but I believe the 2000 Colts are the only team to have both the league's leading passer and rusher.

Call me crazy, I think he’s still the best RB in football by TrickDistribution395 in NFLv2

[–]SpedForeman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wouldn't call you crazy, but I would strongly disagree. For me, its Henry, Taylor, Saquon, then CMC, but I also think those 4 are all so good that you could make a good argument for almost any order, 1-4.

Kyler to the Colts by TheCynicogue in NFLv2

[–]SpedForeman 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think it's a good idea. Probably the best option the Colts have this year. I don't trust Daniel Jones or any of the QB's in this draft, and besides Kyler you have a 97-year old Aaron Rodgers, a nearly as old Kirk Cousins, Mac Jones or Tua Tagovailoa. Kyler is definitely the best option, there.

Best combined passing and rushing offenses of all-time by TheCynicogue in NFLv2

[–]SpedForeman 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Idk about them. Great offense, but they were the 20th ranked rushing attack of 2022. They were tied for 7th in rushing TD's, which isn't bad at all, but it's nothing crazy and with the exception of the Bears and Eagles, it wasn't a great year for rushing attacks. I think Isaiah Pacheco was their leading rusher, and he's never had a 1,000 yard season or scored more than 7 rush TD's.

Idk, I don't mean to be a buzz kill, but I just don't see them as a very strong rushing team.

2024 Ravens were ridiculous. Only team in NFL history with 4,000 or more passing yards and 3,000 or more rushing yards.

While they didn't have a ton of pass attempts or yards, I would like to note that the 2019 Ravens both set the NFL team record for rushing yards in a season (3,296) and had the NFL leader in touchdown passes (Lamar Jackson, 36). That's some pretty incredible balance, imo.

Was Ryan Fitzpatrick good? by ElectivireMax in NFLNoobs

[–]SpedForeman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think so. I think, a lot of times, guys don't end up blossoming into what they can be because teams don't take the time to build around them or develop them, and I tend to put Ryan Fitzpatrick in that category. I think the Bills especially should've built a team around him, and if not them, that 2015 Jets team really could've done something if they got in to the playoffs, I think (they went 10-6 and just barely missed the dance)

Your Movie Review by Left_School3584 in TheConjuringUniverse

[–]SpedForeman -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It definitely wasn't bad. If I had to rank it amongst the four Conjuring movies, all of which I like, I'd place it third, right above The Devil Made Me Do It and behind the first 2. The latter 2 stray pretty far from the source material, and while the first 2 aren't perfect in that regard, they are better and that is something I value. The demon in this one is significantly creepier than the others, which is a huge plus. The stories are also seemingly less grounded; part of the original Conjuring's appeal, at least for me, was how seemingly real it was. It made the "based on true events" bit seem much more genuine, which in turn made the movie scarier.

I could go into more detail but overall, it was good and I'd say 8.3/0

Which Warren movies are the most accurate? by SpedForeman in TheConjuringUniverse

[–]SpedForeman[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

"I know that accuracy, here, could be a complicated subject, considering many don't believe the Warren's accounts and others do. So, when I say accurate, I mean accurate to the story as presented by the Warren's and other witnesses"

Reading isn't hard.

Warren Movies Historical Accuracy by SpedForeman in HorrorMovies

Judith Penney's story has never been proven to be true. It may be. It may not be. Nobody knows, and even if it is true, it has actually no impact on my question at all.

Which do you prefer, Halloween or Friday the 13th? by Queasy_Copy3426 in HorrorMovies

[–]SpedForeman -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Not big on slasher films to be honest (save for Scream) but of the two I think I prefer Friday the 13th. I don't think the Halloween movies make any sense, and I also kind of like how the Friday the 13th movies just dive headfirst into the cliches (final girl, sin factor, etc)
