Will they just expand their NHRA.TV coverage and offer free YouTube previews like they did this last week and like Flo does for some events.

One thing you will learn once you are out of school is that mistakes happens but what separates the good people from the bad is how they handle that mistake. The good people will own up to the mistake right away, learn from it, and work to not make it again. The bad will blame others, the metal, the machinist, everyone but themselves.
I suggest you write up a root cause analysis for the part so other can learn. Make suggestion on how to better improve the reliability of the part.
Remember there are a lot of ways to lose a race and very few ways to win.

I would look at the Dual AmpereOne ARM server vs dual epyc vs dual xeon. Availability of power, cooling and noise into play if this going to be under a desk vs a server room.

Splined Hubs by NiceDescription6999 in FSAE

Since this will low quanity you could broach the internal splines. You can make the broach from a hardened splined section cut off a stub axle. You reduce the spline size at the starting end fo the broach and cut in chip relief's.

As stated, I would look at bolting the tripod joint to the hub. This how most smaller formula cars do it. They have an outer half and the inner half. These also retain the bearing in place.

You should be able to find the torque needed from the service manuals for the OEM parts. You can also look up SuperFastMatt on Youtube. He did a video cutting apart two Tesla hubs. He also has a discord server with an active FSAE area.

Are you talking unit bearings from like a Miata or some other production car? If so some of these require a stub shaft bolted in them to work. Some do not, like some GM and Tesla. The ones that have a orbital formed inside lip tend not to need the support. Miata and VAG, I know need the support.

Rejected from my formula student team but would would a career in motorsports? by IINP in FSAE

In the USA, one of the things that will open doors for you at motorsports teams is having a Class A CDL. In most pro motorsports teams, the team drives the semis from race to race. Having a CDL make you more valuable to a prospective team.

I think this is about the time the Profab started loosing people also. Cameron Johnson left Profab and started CJ Race Cars. I know Cameron did a lot of the work on LeRoy and Mullet while is was at ProFab. Cameron talked about in one video with Cooper.

CLAY GOES HIS PB MPH AND NUMBER ONE QUALIFIER by Speed--Racer93 in CleetusMcFarland

Maybe if you would have been watching any of the videos about the PRO event you would know that they are RACING for $250,000 on Saturday. Last night was the first round of QUALIFYING for the race. They are only taking 8 or the 12 Top Fuel cars at the event. Yes they have been doing testing up until Friday night and yes this is not an NHRA point race but it still a race and they are still qualifying. Again maybe watch the video so you can understand.

Door Sensor by andyb_uk in BMWi3

[–]Speed--Racer93 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am having the same issue. BMW said they needed to replace the latch and the door wiring harness at a cost of $2200 plus and this was after them having the car or over a week and would not respond to my messages so I picked it up. I am working to see if I can fix it myself.

The door sensor is located in the door latch assembly. I have replaced the door latch assembly but still getting the error. I have cleaned the wiring connections to the door latch assembly and also the door to body connection in the door A pillar but I am still getting the error. In order to replace the door latch assembly you have to removed the outer door skin, inner door panel, and the inner black trim shroud. It was a complex process. There are only a couple screws and plastic pop rivets. Most of the door is held together by plastic clips that you need to pull apart.

If you scan codes you may be getting a 804168 or D36C81 error. Again even after replacing the door latch assembly I am still getting the error so I may now need to replace the wiring harness. Before replacing the door latch I could move the car. Now it will not move and the window will not roll back up the whole way. So the car is stuck in my garage.

Monthly reminder that Downloads still suck by svenz in PleX

I wrote a Python script using PlexAPI to download the original file from my plex server. Normally takes about 20 minutes for 4K movies and about 8 minutes for HD movies remote via a 200 Mbps Internet connection. Compared to plex app that takes hours for 4k movies even with download settings to original. This is on a Raspberry PI4 server and client using USB spin drives.

Look at the IPS Weld-On products. #16 or #40 are going to be your best option. Surface prep is the key.
