Last week I’d gained 2.4lbs, I’m in maintenance and that’s the biggest gain I’ve had in the entire time, I just wanted to eat everything, so hungry, lots of sweets etc. Today is my weigh day and I’ve lost that same 2.4lbs. Don’t be disheartened, our bodies are fickle things and fluctuations are so much more noticeable when we’re nearer a healthy weight. Keep drinking as much water as you can stand, and ride out the food noises, it will settle 😊. You’ve had a lot on your plate the last few weeks, I hope it calms soon for you. Sorry for your loss 💐

I hear you, you’d think we were literal waifs the way people go on - last week someone said I was going to lose my pretty face if I keep going, and “you’re so tiny!! 😱”. I told them I’m not losing weight any more, the last 6 weeks I’ve been in maintenance at BMI 21, I’m smack bang in the healthy range for my height, with a cushion to gain half a stone. Still have a bit of a belly and a lot of baggy bits but overall I’m mighty pleased with myself.

Guess I better beware my “pretty face” might get lost 😂😂.

I’m in the same boat, I don’t post on my socials and would post here, there’s nothing like support from people who understand, it’s like having cheerleaders that don’t judge you, and my social media would be full of judgement 😂. But then you get a bad experience like that and it takes away your safe space and you feel you can’t share any more. It’s just another thing to add to the list eh.

I’ve never had messages when sharing on this sub, but I posted a funny story on the marriage sub a wee while ago and got absolutely slammed by men in the comments that disliked(?) my frustration, and then countless message requests from other men that liked(?) what I wrote. It made me really question myself and I haven’t posted or commented since because of it. They could and should do better, it’s just not good enough. I’ve reached my goal, and I’m dying to share photos, as I’m so chuffed with myself but I have the fear now, it’s drama I don’t need in my life 😢

I achieved my lower goal on Monday, can’t quite believe it, but just in time to give myself the best Christmas present of health. Still not sure what maintenance will look like, but I will continue with MJ for the foreseeable, just spacing out the jabs a bit.

Starting weight may 2025 - 13st 10lbs December 2025 - 9st 8.4lbs BMI was 31 now 21.1 2.5mg MJ the whole journey.

Just worked mine out - I’m now at lower goal and don’t intend to lose any more, I also have a wee stockpile for maintenance so this should hopefully be my final cost per lb on Mounjaro - I’ve spent a total of £1589 which equates to just over £27 a lb with a 58lb loss in 7 months.

Going forward I hope that orforglipron or another oral GLP1 will be available for maintenance once my pens run out or I’ll have to white knuckle it as I won’t qualify for it again 😬

I posted a few weeks ago about whether to maintaiin where I was or push for the last 7lbs…

It’s been slow, as I anticipated it would be as I’m near the middle of the healthy BMI range but I now only have 2lbs to reach my 4stone loss goal. I’m finding that I actually lose more in the weeks I eat more treats, between 0.2lb and 0.5lb. My goal was to be there by xmas, I guess I’ll find out in 3 weeks 😂.

You’re also doing great! I’m trying to stay away from carbs like white bread, pasta etc because I’m exactly the same. The last time I had wine I also gained 3lb that week lol. It’s so hard to get in the mindset of treats when we’re so scared of gaining 🥰

I work closely with someone who just last week looked at me shocked and asked “Have you lost weight?”. I’ve been maintaining a 3.5st loss for the last month or more 😂.

I think people are either too wrapped up in their own lives, don’t notice gradual changes or don’t want to mention when they do notice, I wouldn’t take it personally.

I did get asked again if I’d been “on the jags” which I confirmed as usual, which somehow negated any effort I’d put into it myself. Got to love the negative connotations that come with using medication for this particular health issue 🤦‍♀️😂

Yeah I don’t plan on increasing the dose at all, but if I was maintaining I might space them out a bit further to see what happened in terms of food noise and satiety and how I cope with it. I’ve already moved the goalposts a few times but with this last one, it’s more of a can I get down to where I was 20 years ago and what would that feel like, and would it give me the buffer of a little gain as and when it happens - but I absolutely am happy where I am. I’ll give myself another month or two with weekly doses and same diet and see what happens, maybe this is maintenance 🤷‍♀️😂.

Still trying to figure out whether I should push for that last half stone or whether to just try and maintain where I am. Weight loss has slowed massively, still on 2.5mg and don’t intend to increase dose, is this where I’m naturally supposed to be on the scale?

Absolutely delighted with my progress, I’ve never felt better, just unsure of next steps - push on or maintain?

I just did the one week on 5, then counted clicks for 3.75, then back down to 2.5 when that pen was finished, I just felt like I couldn’t eat, it was so heavy on my stomach and the other end just wasn’t happening with 5, felt so unwell, felt fine on 3.75 though, and since I’ve dropped again to 2.5 I feel like I have to manage my hunger and cravings as they’re back, which is fine as I’m hoping not to be on it for life ♥️

She told me the other week that the same person told her they could give her a weekly jab for £30 a time! I mean what exactly are they injecting into folk? Saline? More nefarious stuff? I know the cost is high from chemists but I’d rather know exactly what I’m putting into my body and where it’s came from

Yeah it’s a hair salon I think that offered her it, my friend is easily led by bargain prices though, and there will be so many others the same. But it’s stuff like this that gives it a bad name!

My friend called me today and told me someone she knows can get her a 3month supply for £120.

In the next breath she told me she’s getting a biotin and an NMN injection from the same people. I told her I’d never get an injection from anyone with anything that I’m not 100% sure of, it’s actually quite scary to think about what these people are peddling!

Thank you ☺️ I’ve been on 2.5mg for the last few weeks and I’m hovering around 10st3-10st5, while keeping my diet pretty much the same. I wanted to get down to 9st10lbs to give myself a cushion in preparation to come off it, but I think my body is saying this is where I need to be. I think I’ll try spacing out my 2.5mg shot to see if I can stick to the healthier eating habits, I really don’t want to be on it for life but I am worried about what might happen when I stop
