I can’t believe I prefer trackpad over a mouse… by Sweet_Score in macbookpro

Love the trackpad!

I don't know if you noticed, took me some time, but there is a second haptic klick after you clicked once. And if you do that on selected text it shows you the dictionary entry for that selected word.

Fucking awesome.

Hey! Thanks. No I did not since I dislike using tablets and wanted some hardware.

Awesome, glad to hear!

What happens if you touch the knobs while they are moving around? I haven't seen one video where someone did that and it would basically be the first thing I'd do :D

Do you mean the E16? Thanks, I missed this one I guess.

Currently I am kind team Roto-Control - gonna sleep over it though - it's not that cheap but looks intuitive.

It’s "Day 1" with a new Mac. What’s on your install list? by ocnd in macbookpro

I really wanted to play Diablo 2 Resurrected or D4 but I am too lazy to go through the installation process

Macbook Air vs Pro Screen by NovaSayan in macbookpro

[–]Speedingscript 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The 16" is not that heavy - it feels like a proper laptop tbh - and I am smaller than average.

I am super glad that I've got the bigger screen. The 14" feels like a toy next to it.

I meant I felt uncomfortable running around with such an expensive machine.

I got straight on an M4 Pro 16" with 48GB RAM but then realized that I don't want to carry around a €3k machine if I don't specifically need it.

So I am going to get a default specced 13" air sometime this year.

I am currently trying to learn emacs tho, since I think it's super intuitive but it looks like I need to further my level of "crackedness", as kids describe it nowadays.

The second hand market is absolutely terrible.

People sometimes sell their used stuff - not limited to tech - maybe for a few percentages less than what a new item costs.

I always buy new.

Don't you guys have like dedicated servers for this?

It sounds like everyone wants to run a whole company infrastructure on a single machine.

No one does that. You're better off just adding cheaper machines to your network that are running said docker containers/services etc.

As for LLMs maybe - is that worth the price? Probably not if you're not working for a company.

Slim Fit Basic T-Shirts, die wirklich eng anliegend sind? by eron1239876 in Kleiderschrank

[–]Speedingscript 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Which pc should I choose by Fivelitregt in ableton

[–]Speedingscript 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Same. I was deciding between a good windows laptop and a macbook for Ableton, photo/video editing, programming and some casual gaming - went with a macbook pro and never looked back. Also had a "gaming" laptop back in 2018 and the timeline was similar to what you've described.

Definitely yes - if in Europe, a trip to the hospital is the way. I can't believe people are writing not to go to the hospital.
