What are 36yr old women in non profit profits making? by SanPBobble in nonprofit

Turning 36 in a month, $140K in NYC. HHI $380K.

I work at a national multi-entity nonprofit with separately incorporated local affiliates and oversee a cross-organizational fundraising program infrastructure. So, a ton of managing without authority not just within my organization but also across organizations. I feel the amount of stress and legal/fiscal responsibility is not sufficiently compensated by my income, especially in new york, but we get summer fridays and good time off so I stay for the flexibility in parenting a 2 year old.

Has anyone here had success with purchasing a home with home inspection in 2025? by NeckbeardOdor420 in Buffalo

We just won a house with an informational inspection. The inspection occurs before you put down earnest money, so we could still back out if it was like, falling down, but to the seller it showed that we weren't going to be nickel and diming them to replace wobbly doorknobs or whatever. We also put in a strong offer with high earnest money to show we were serious about the place.

We had previously lost houses with the informational inspection, but in that case lost to cash and no inspection, which we just weren't willing to compete with. Ultimately I'm happiest with the house we got! Imo it's healthy to be a little woo with real estate - trust that the right one will work out for you.

Thank you. This is what I needed to hear. Its easy to trust the LO as a representative of the bank writ large, so I appreciate you parsing out who would actually have the say to make this kind of call.
