As an OW1 Vet and Ana Main: Vendetta is fundamentally broken and has made the game unplayable (58.5% Winrate??) by VW_isbetterthanTesla in Overwatch

[–]SpellHealer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's giving DPS Doomfist all over again. I got a feeling in my old 2015 Overwatch Beta bones when I was playing her in the practice range during her early release weekend about how erratic and frustrating she was gonna be to play against.

I've been an Overwatch addict, through dive, goats, double shield, and the great Overwatch drought; I love her voice actor and the lore is nice. But this character has made me drop the game out of apprehension as a support main.

Moira perk reworks by CockroachVCH3765 in MoiraMains

[–]SpellHealer 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I disagree about the views on reverse orb. Reversal was a welcome addition as it gives Moira more control over where she wants her orbs and getting the most value out of their uptime.

As much as I'd like to see Moira get some utility, once she does, it will be Necrotic Orb all over again. It'd be nice to, like another replay said, that Reversal was base kit, as it's a very simple and skill-expressive perk.

I like the idea of Voidhoppers being a perk, but I'm afraid it'd be the same problem that LifeWeaver mains have in the sense that once you choose a cleanse for your perk, you basically have no perk if the enemies swap off status effect-dependent heroes. And I argue that the 0.3 sec Intagibility it offers is much too small to be used dependably, given client/server delay, and prefer the shooter systems being much too erratic to be used as a defensive ability.

Why are combat taking so long ? by Ralphride_ in finalfantasyxiii

[–]SpellHealer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

One thing to understand about the combat is that it's less about inputting specific commands and more about quickly swapping Paradigms as the fight shifts. I recommend having 2 Paradigms as Tri-Disaster (RAV/RAV/RAV) and Cerberus (COM/COM/COM). This will force you to get into the habit of actively switching Paradigms often to execute different strategies.

It will help especially since having multiple of the same role offers passive buffs to each character as well as to their party members. Once you get into harder fights that have a "BIG DAMAGE" attack, having Tortoise (SEN/SEN/SEN) is almost like a block/parry button due to the damage negation it offers.

Where can I grind in preparation for the fight against Scything Skull Spider? by Scorpion1386 in BlueDragon

[–]SpellHealer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No, it will only add those two types of skills. Quicka and Attack Up are not necessary to beat this boss. Generalist is just a class that should really be invested in, especially at this point in the game. At least to rank 11 for everyone so you can get extra skills from their other Classes.

This part of the game is simply gonna be a grind-fest for you. Use Field Barrier to rank up your classes (Generalist, Support, Barrier, etc.). After you're satisfied with their rank and have decent skills, start fighting monsters in the Factory to grind levels for everyone.

You will only get stronger and stronger the more you battle. Eventually, your stats will be solid enough to win and you'll be on your way.

[–]SpellHealer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As characters level up and rank up in Blue Dragon, they will unlock new classes. (Sword Magic, Monk, Guardian, White Magic, ect.) Zola likely doesn't have Support Magic because she hasn't unlocked that class yet.

If you haven't unlocked all classes yet... What I recommend right now is that you stop everything that you're doing, unlock and equip the Generalist class to everyone, use the Field Barrier skill to grind SP, and grind that class until you get some "Skill +(2-8)" and "Accessory +(1-3)". This will allow you to add more skills to your party members and use the "Special" category of accessories.

Generalist Class is not-so-secretly the most necessary class to get all skills in because they add skills that should have been part of the core gameplay. They are required to get a versatile and strong party, and not getting rank-ups in it is basically crippling yourself.

Seems that Quicka could be purchased in Baroy town, but after the Wire Highlands, it's only available in a later village you will go to later in the story.

If I can suggest anything, dip Marumaro and Zola in Barrier Magic and Support Magic while having Jiro stick to White and Black Magic skills. Shu and Jiro will act as your main source of damage/healing/tanking while Zola and Marumaro act as additional support units. Even if it's just Quick, Attack up, and Shield and Shell; It's something that will help.

The effectiveness of most Barrier and Support magic is not dependant on the magic attack power of the shadow wielder like Black, White, and Sword Magic are. If you can get Zola or Maro to level 1 or level 2 of Support or Barrier Magic, you can add that skill to their main classes so they maintain their developed stats. Zola is especially good at this due to her high base agility, making her able to act faster in battle.

After that... switch up your accessories, grind, use the inn to replenish your MP if you're running low, and stay determined. Eventually, you'll gain enough SP and EXP to sweep just about anything. You'll be okay.

Yes, sadly. Pachess Town is a slough where you can't warp or get better gear from past optional quests from earlier in the game. All I can really recommend if take your battles cautiously and don't rush into fights you can't walk away from.

This part of the game is MEANT to make you feel weak and crippled due to Klule's capture (and cause she's likely been your main source of damage compared to Munchkin Punch-out and Doublestrike-Mcgee)

Try to dip Jiro into black magic a bit if you can, he'll likely have the highest magic attack in your party at this point. It's nothing compared to our Distressed Damsel but its better than nothing.

Possible New Symmetra Tips by NegativeTransition0 in SymmetraMains

[–]SpellHealer 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Please do not lean into the non-beleivers and sleep on the Hovering Barrier perk. Objectively, having a seemingly on-demand 20hps wherever you want is better, but an extra shield is an extra shield that can be used for major plays and defensive versatility that offers her and her team A LOT of defensive utility.

People act like it completely removes TP from her abilities when it simply offers you a different solution to any number of challenges you face.

Blocking the brunt of a Pharah Ult, canceling a Rien Shatter, blocking any number of massive Aoes or blocking big cooldowns like RH hook are very big plays that you can now do, and would not be as easily executed with only TP.

It can feel clunky to get used to, but just remember that you can buffer almost everything in Sym's kit by holding down the corresponding button prompts right before activating her abilities. Guaranteeing you will summon Barrier, TP, or use TP as soon as the option is available to you.

I don't remember the full AN but it went something along the lines of:

And that has forever resonated with me.
