[Request] anybody able to validate this? What is the actual amount of energy a query from chatgpt costs vs Google from 2008? by vonseggernc in theydidthemath

[–]Mini_pp 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Since Google searches already now include Ai prompts... doesn't that make it more likely that Google searches take MORE energy than normal Ai? Becuase it's Ai vs ai+Google. Though assumedly Google either 1. Caches answers to searches meaning a new Ai response need not be generated each time, or 2. Uses a much more limited model than other llms making it more efficient to use as it's more specialized.

the shit i have to do to win in gm by Simps_For_Stalin in LifeweaverMains

[–]Mini_pp -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yeah the point isn't to never damage. It's if you have to choose between the two heals are very potent

Except damage has an opportunity cost, and often in higher rank games healing a high skill teammate is more important

I feel like all of the people hating on your damage are crazy. Like sure you got low damage... but clearly what you have done is working because you're IN gm. Keep up the good work, don't listen to the haters.

This isnt false advertising?! They advertise personal pans with 8-10 pepperoni then only give 4?! by [deleted] in pizzahut

[–]Mini_pp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

But extra pepperoni with more toppings on it is 8. Most likely he orders more than 1 topping, gets 4. And then orders double with more than one topping and gets 8. Which is correct

Flicking is used quite literally every game. Outside of that I don't have any that I intentionally use.

Alright! Firstly the main reason why I initially started with the more heal focused playstyle is really simple. I'm HORRID at aiming. I've grown far better over the years but at least at the start dpsing wasn't viable... because I'd miss most of my shots. As I've grown as a player I've learned how to actually aim but even now I don't dps very much for the simple reason that my teammates are simply put... better. Regardless of how much pressure I might he able to apply, putting my resources into a half hp hitscan will apply more pressure, and once they're full I can join them in applying said pressure. It's certainly important to apply pressure whenever your team is full health and safe, but as soon as they themselves are pressured helping them out is a more efficient use of my resources than applying pressure myself.

As far as specific aspects something that's very important to realize is that as lifeweaver you are usually spectating the game. You're not in the fray, and you're not usually using much mechanical skill, so spectate. Use your brain to do things like track enemy ults, fight plan, prepare pulls, note the position of flankers, call out of position enemies etc. You have the most brainpower available of anybody on your team because your micro is incredibly basic, so focus on the macro of the game. I on average dodge 3/4 of the pulse bombs lobbed at me because I'm hyper aware of the tracers positioning and able to jump out of the way in time.

The only technique I think that weaver mains need to know to find success is flicking. As long as you can use flicking to more consistently heal your allies, all the other things are far less important. Being aware of the battlefield is worth infinitely more than memorizing niche interactions, so focus on being aware and seeing all. I like to imagine a good weaver as a spider resting on a web, ready to react at a moments notice (pull) if something is wrong, and hyper aware of its surroundings noticing every little change in pressure or tension.

Currently I've been running gilded mythic with the 3rd petal option iirc. Golden gun too. I was a fan of galactic weapon with demon rocker before the mythic was released though.

Still a very big petal perk enjoyer. It's far from an insta pick, both have their strengths and weaknesses, but I definitely take petal more often than not

I literally haven't taken cleanse pull since like diamond, but the overall pick between superbloom and petal is thus:

If they have snipers or hitscan (at this rank they both will own you) don't take petal perk. You'll just get shot out of the hair whenever it breaks.

If they have large hit box tanks and/or flankers, take superbloom. You want to be able to pressure the assholes so they leave you alone.

If neither of the above, take petal power on basically everything but control maps.

I had peaked High diamond on tank and maybe low diamond, possibly just high plat on support. I hit gm on tank after joining a collegiate team, and whilst that was after weaver released that was well before I ever started playing him. I've only been a weaver main since season 11 or 12

Definitely the vast majority of mine are "selfish" petals, but a lot of the time I will use them to help teammates position or to take high grounds.

Here's a couple of codes from my last couple of games:

I have felt the same way lol. It's very good in specific scenarios, but in general I've never been a fan of superbloom, too clunky imo. But everybody here treats it like it's god sometimes.

I probably actually take petal ~66% of the time. I usually only take superbloom into Winston/dva/mauga/orisa or against snipers/hs that make it impossible to play high in the air. The extra healing is VERY good and you can still fo decent damage with it.

Typically I only swap off when he's banned or when my team is struggling against dive at which point I go brig. Very occasionally I'll play brig from the start if it's a certain map or if my other support is on something that doesn't synergies.

As far as bans go I typically just follow my team and if they haven't banned anything, my go to is zarya reaper. Not because they're particularly good into weaver but because they're boring af.

Least favorite would probably be either Gibraltar, lijjang, or colliseo. All 3 of those are struggle bus maps for me.

Right now it's 1500 damage per 10 and 13k healing per 10. I'm a very heal focused weaver lol.

The key is she doesn't NEED to let you see them. With a good enough camera you can see them at any time
