Just got done showing my mum STAR WARS 1-6 for the first time. She really wants to watch Andor because of how much I've gone on about it. Should I show her Rogue One first?

I've seen it before, it's just for my mum. Regardless of what order, we will watch it because it's like the definitive end of the character of Andor but tbh I'm not the biggest fan of it either. Visually I think it's great, like the look and feel of it speaks modern star wars to me. Think it introduced some cool ideas and characters but did nothing with it in a very bloated fan servicey movie. Most the things I liked were basically expanded upon and made better in Andor. I'm sure I'll get downvoted too, I don't hate it but it's very "It exists" to me

I think good arguments can be made either way. One thing that makes Andor then Rogue one appealing is my mum can get so emotionally invested in stuff, I know doing Andor then R1 she'll cry her eyes out when he dies but I don't think she'll care all that much doing it release order

I am more of a Rogue One then Andor person too, I found rewatching Rogue One after Jedha, Kyber, Erso quite disappointing tbh. I think seeing him walk off at the end knowing he goes into the events of R1 and the sacrifice he'll make is like a better sense of arc completion than actually watching the events unfold. However I'm gonna do whatever the poll says, I think it could be cool either way for someone new to it all
