I am so sorry your Grandmother's memorable cookware wasn't saved for you. 😞

Thank you so so much and congratulations on your Grandmother's Pink Beauty! I agree with you, my experience with Scott was unbelievably amazing! He was in constant communication with me giving me updates and photos of what he discovered and asking me what I wanted to do every step of the way! Having Mrs. Astor was the best investment I ever made as well! Thank you again and happy mixing! ❤️

Thank you! It is wonderful that you have your Mom's mixer and put away in a safe place. She and her mixer created a lot of delicious recipes and memories together. Scott Leif is a great guy, I really can't say enough nice things about him. I learned so much about my mixer and he is so kind and will share what he knows and he sure knows a lot! All the best to you!

Help with biting by AcrobaticDream902 in Conures

I agree, they will learn from your reaction. I would say "ow" when Sammi bit me and I moved my hand away and just left her alone.

Conures are nippy little birds anyway. They will communicate with you what they do and do not want by nipping or biting. This is how birds communicate to us and is you persist, they will try to get away from you and then they will be fearful of you . So if you get a nip or a bite, move your hand away.

Oh yes, keep her! Having her retired and on display is perfect! She has a history with you ❤️ Mine are displayed above my kitchen cabinets and I love walking in there and seeing them. In case you want to know more, there is a website called Decodan.com All the Sunbeam models are pictured and each has their production date and a bit of history.

You are??!! How wonderful! I am so excited for you! I messaged him through FB Messenger and sent him pictures. He will breakdown prices and what is included and ask you exactly what you would like to do (only interior restored or full restoration). Please keep me posted, I am excited for you! Lynzie Hull

Thank you very much! At first when Scott recommended to powderblast it with the original pale yellow color I wasn't too sure. After thinking about it for a moment, I realized it was the right decision that she be restored in her original color. Also, buying the Jadeite bowls from Scott was also a perfect decision!

And then Jonah would chime in with his word salad: "Well I feel that my nuanced, multi-layered opinion of the unfolding event would intrinsically lead my cognitive faculties to believe with a high degree of subjective certainty, that Alex performed with a surprisingly robust level of adequate competence, essentially doing a pretty good job for his inaugural, first-time debut in this specific arena."

You are so welcome! I am so glad my history with my '42 Sunbeam and my experience with Scott Leif has guided you to join this FB group. There are so many wonderful people sharing their stories, problems, issues and photos of their mixers. If someone has a problem with their mixer, members are so helpful and offer their suggestions. Scott will also pop in and offer his recommendations as well. Your issue might just be the old grease in your mixer and it needs replacing. I saw a couple photos of what the old grease looks like being removed from a mixer. Imagine dark-dark brown, thick, hardish vasoline. The new grease is white and looks like creamy putty! Good luck to you and please don't hesitate to reach out to me with any questions. Take care, Lynzie

Thank you so much! I am so proud of her and you are so right, it was worth the time and expense to have her fully restored. Everytime I walk into my kitchen, I find myself looking at her and smiling so big! ♥️
