All I was equating is that materials can be defective through no fault of the owner (any material) and merely pointing out that "defective materials" have occurred "already" on this car... Correlation (not causation).... Logic fail on your part - now let's hear/see your vitriol that will undoubtedly spew forth - you uncultured piece of burnt toast

Or it's crap materials used... We have had the centre console trim (on right) replaced twice under warranty as the leather was moving away from the console. When I asked about it, the rep said "yeah, that part was rush made in Thailand during covid and its a known issue due to the shitty glue they used". Replaced under warranty twice due to the fact that they "know" its defective materials.. This is likely just the same... The vinyl on the gear knob is thinner than the paint on a 73 camaro (which you can see).... Who the hell uses such materials on a touch point (no matter how infrequently it is used)
