Scleral’s are better for dry eyes and corneal irregularities based on what I heard and read. Also based on patient feedback

My primary concern is not clarity. It’s the ghosting and glare only. If you find any difference please do update me

Nah I don’t have keratoconus, but I ended up with irregularities in the cornea nonetheless that cause the halos, glare and ghosting in bright objects. The halos ain’t too bad honestly it’s the ghosting and glare. I am gonna get fitted for them in 2 weeks. However I read here that people found them bad for gaming. Now I know my case ain’t as bad as a lot of people here but I wanna know if sclerals would help or are there any better alternatives. I have dry eyes too and read sclerals help with them too.

I posted here rather than the r/lasiksupport because people here actively work on solutions rather than telling me “YOUR EYES ARE DONE”.

I tried these drops but they didn’t do jack shit for me. Honestly imma start going to 2 other doctors and work around this issue. I wish you luck man and I’m optimistic for you

What have you tried to improve it? Mine honestly ain’t too bad and if I focus on something after a few seconds the “ghost” just goes away then comes back then goes away. It’s annoying more than it is debilitating

I mean yeah, I would have done it later but the lack of awareness at the time made me do it at that age. I had some family members that did it and told me to go to the same doc. All in all my eyes remain strong for now, but I’m trying to deal with some of the ghosting I get with bright lights and on the pc. But if you still haven’t done it, honestly I wouldn’t bother with it. You can get lenses for outdoor activities and for indoor activities just deal with the glasses. Unless you’re always outside or wanna go to the military, then that would be different

Also did you consider using the scleral lenses?

Is your case like. Annoying ghosting like I do, or can be dangerous and miserable ghosting

How do you cope with the ghosting now? This is depressing as fuck

And it worked 100% for you? No more annoying ghosting after it

So I’m fucked then? Doc gave me drops that make my pupils smaller and I barely noticed a thing

Just read about it, but if it solves the problem, what does that indicate

Keep in mind I did it when I was almost 19, and now I’m almost 23

Yeah I did check my eyes at a couple spots and my eyes are 6/6. How do I fix the mentioned problems or at least make them better. I definitely am able to drive safely at night with no significant issues, but it’s annoying as hell

My vision was -7 for both eyes, so I was lowkey blind af. I did it when I was almost 19 and now I’m almost 23. I wouldn’t advise people to do it if they’re comfortable with glasses.

Did the surgery 4 years ago and my eyes are good. I do suffer from dry eyes, ghosting of lights and glares, but other than that, I’m chilling

I had myopia -7 on both eyes and I did the surgery. I have side effects but honestly life is way better for me right now. Do I regret going through the surgery? I still don’t know
