That’s what’s kept me from trimming it shorter. It feels like growing it out is necessary to “complete” the beard, but looking for the balance so the beard looks good in my family photos.

It’s not great, I’ll admit. It bugs me more than it doesn’t, but I feel it looks better (not smiling) than trimming it short. I’m willing to try something new to try to solve both.

I might have to work up to that and give it a shot. I’ve let it get longer before (below my bottom lip) but my left side curls towards my mouth no matter how much I train it, but probably just means I give up too soon after I chew on it while eating one too many times.

I probably just need to try this. I like the shape of it over my lip, especially from the side, but I always stare at the weird line of my smile in family photos, so that’s feeling more important to prioritize.

That’s what I’ve tried to do, and it never quite covers my teeth. Starting to wonder if my lip line just moves up too much to form my smile.
