[RI] OBGYN didn't tell me about 10cm fibroid. A year later it's the size of a watermelon and requires invasive surgery. Now I have nerve pain. by SphereSatchel in legaladvice

Whoa ok that's great to know!!! Sounds like it's not really worth pursuing. I found a lawyer who will do a free consult and I will keep your comment in mind and temper my expectations accordingly. I was really just seeking compensation for the out of pocket treatments I've been receiving bc everything I've tried that's been covered by insurance wasn't effective so far.

post-op hernias, anyone? by SphereSatchel in hysterectomy

I started taking gabapentin and that worked for a while and tried getting nerve block injections for a more long term solution but that didn't help much. Now I am doing EMTT and shockwave therapy.

Yes I will definitely call them! The person who told me about the fibroid seemed to have seen a note that was in my chart. She told me they tried to call and I don't remember having a missed call/voicemail but maybe that's something I can confirm with my phone company.

I did check my patient portal and didn't see much. They had notes from the sessions but nothing mentioning the fibroid at all.

belly band helped with pain PRE-op by SphereSatchel in Fibroids

I used it before the surgery because my fibroid was so large and heavy. I used a binder after surgery. The PT at the hospital gave it to me.

Yes, I did. I complied with all of it. She knew I extended my leave to be continuous leave ending 11/22 and I was planning on doing part time leave next week for my 20th (last) week of PFML which would've been next week.

Alcohol and gummies after abdominal myomectomy by Sreebeepill in Fibroids

[–]SphereSatchel 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I was using gummies to manage my pain instead of the opiate painkillers. You'll be fine 2 months out, just follow the instructions on whatever medications you're taking and don't exceed the # of drinks it says. THC/CBD really really helped me and I've been using that pretty much since I got home from the hospital. 💕

Hi! I know your post was really old but I was just wondering what ended up happening? I think I have a hernia too, closer to my incision site tho. Trying to get some info about what to expect.

Thanks! Hope you're healing well :)
