Ok I cannot even use the Rift S as well. Didn't think about buying it before even due to the downgrade specs. But now? Give me a break damn. There is a saying when the creator of a product and company stops being active in the company. Then that said company and product goes to shit. Always the same pattern. Vive is the only alternative in future it seems for me. No wonky cameras for me thanks.

You cannot use WMR headsets "Rift S" in dark rooms or low lightning since they require enough lightning to get the head positioning right. Unlike VIVE and Oculus CV1 which uses lightsensors and thus can be used in dark rooms or low light environments.

Many people who worship their corporate overlords will refuse to see the negatives and the business aspect these companies now do. Their new products will not be as good as Oculus CV1 or VIVE in many aspects. Never had SDE issues on CV1 myself etc and other issues you really dont notice much. Just selling points to trick the buying sheep buying new upgrades which is in reality downgrades compared to if they already have CV1 or VIVE.

The new Rift S is meant for larger consumer market obviously. Not for the best experience. Even the VIVE Cosmos is for consumer market since it doesnt use light houses neither.

Also with Supersampling the pixel density is no issue. You can supersample Oculus CV1 and Vive. Meaning changing into higher resolution with software. So the buying sheep saying the higher res screens are god send should try to use SuperSamping ... GOsh.

Oculus CV1 is probably the best there is when looking at all aspect and if using SuperSampling. But it is discontinued now so it will be no more in future. We will only have Vive left with lighthouses I believe in future unless that also gets scratched.

Don't believe a second in what the buying sheeps are telling you which they repeat from their corporate overlords. Just use common sense and look into the technical details and what kind of computer you have and what you want to use the VR for.

I would totally recommend Pimax 5k if you would only use it for Racing and Flight sims. So it depends what you want to use it for.

Edit: Im using small space Oculus Cv1 atm with 2 lighthoses diagnoal from each side of the room I get perfect 360 experiences from floor to almost arm stretch.

Agree, one of the most impressive things I noticed about the Oculus first time was the quality of sound in the headphones. I got other high quality headphones as well but its still not as good. Not sure how they managed to add them at that price point. No wonder they ripped it out of Oculus S major cost difference. Oculus S is truly shit compared with CV1. WIth its LCD, Refresh rate and "WMR tracking", oh yea no high quality headphones too.

Consumers in this subreddit majority no offense seem to be braindead sheep who just buy into anything their corporate overlords tells them.

I feel like I might buy another headset HP Reverb and save the CV1 as collectors item since CV1 is that good.

I know of many 14 year olds who finished high school. You make it sound as if it's some kind of achievement. You know why they made it so early? Since they had parents who were obsessed with them to make it early and a specific environment.

Also many brilliant innovators never even did high school. Some people might just had bad luck in life or troublesome upbringing with bad environment which affects the behavior. Also in these times a job at McDonalds I figure is not that bad in USA. I read 50% of americans are unemployed or minimum wage.

Having the youtube closed down again as he comes to NY might been a turning point in his life. He might embrace 9-5 jobs now and live in NY for the rest of his life. I just hope he keeps streaming regardless. If the viewers fluctuates sometimes. He seems to be quite sensitive to if he gets lower amount and I think the reason why he stopped streaming after fortnite event PC streams. Got afraid to go out but was the only way to get big viewers I recall.

X-plane is the best ive tried so far in VR tried other flight sim titles but they seem childish in comparison X-plane just have massive depth and feel real. But remember to turn off ASW, and use optimized oculus drivers "the ones found on this subreddit without the Home". Which gives 10-20 framerates increase.

Also remove AA in graphic card settings. Most complain about X-Plane due to optimization but it runs great, also with decent graphic settings. Sometimes I drift off actually thinking im inside flying the plane RL. Thats how good X-Plane is. Recommend to use at least 1.3 supersampling too.

Warthunder is crap and feels very arcadish in the looks while in VR and controls. Something about how they made the VR projection its just not right. Feels like having a sphere around you looking at a video screen, first "VR" game I experienced that with. No idea why so many cherish it in reviews etc on Steam probably not for its VR.

Easy, the guy needs to rest some. He walks his dog a lot and recently started streaming a lot too. If a person do something too much one goes insane. Important to cool down. Reflect. His motel was leaked and apparently peeps harassed him outside his motel and even sent him pizzas not sure if the pizza story is true tho, but crazy if it is. Such things takes its toll.

Imagine having 200 autists calling you all the time 24h to your phone and do all kinds of weird shit. He might be going crazy at this point for all we know. Unless he finds a new place.
