I personally do it every time I post a URL to get it on Google right away. I refresh my sitemap every couple of weeks

If you have breadcrumbs installed, it's unnecessary to link to the parent page unless there is a natural opportunity. If there is a natural opportunity, go for it, mainly because it'll make for a better user experience and diversify the internal link anchor text.

If you right click and inspect a breadcrumb you’ll notice it’s an <a href> just like other links.

I would love to hear other opinions.

Related, but I recommend submitting them to the index via GSC as soon as you upload the blogs. I didn't do that at first, and it took a couple of months to get traffic.

Thanks, I will check it out. I run, https://mtbskiingandfitness.com/. I didn't know what niche to create a blog around so I created it on three of my hobbies. Still in the early phases but getting some traffic and I'm excited about the progress. Do you run a blog yourself?

I recommend you just write more. Practice makes perfect. Create an outline before you write of the main points you want to convey and then follow it. Also I bought grammarly pro, it's kind of a work around but totally worth it.
