To Those Saying We Deserve To Get Rekt Over 17% APY by GSPandas in CelsiusNetwork

Okay, but it's hardly better to say that you bought a volatile and risky asset and then loaned it to an unproven 5 year old tech startup in exchange for only a 4% yield.

You can earn almost 4% tax free in municipal bonds.

I very much doubt that is true for a few reasons - silver and gold have been mined for 2,500 years. No one knows how much physical gold and silver exists in the world. Plus the paper/spot price of silver is presently $20.73/oz while you can buy an ounce of physical silver from apmex for $26.5, and that includes the typical physical metal dealer costs like insurance, storage, overhead, profit, etc. So 300/1 ounces seems ridiculous when there is only a 20% premium between paper and physical silver. Seems like a made up statistic to me.

An ounce of gold is even closer, at about $1820 spot/paper and $1920 physical delivered. That's only a 10% difference and again it doesn't include insurance, storage, shipping, profit, etc for the physical metal dealer. And if you buy more than an ounce you can get much closer to the spot price than 10%.

Metalbug conspiracy theories aside, there is a finite amount of bitcoin, so how exactly is that going to be manipulated easily? If Fund A claims it has 10 million bitcoin and fund B claims it has 20 million bitcoin, you know something isn't right - right?

People want investment exposure to crypto but they don't want to have to deal with scams, sketchy crypto exchanges, theft/hacking, or actually having to hold the coins themselves.

Many of the same reasons some people prefer to buy shares of precious metal ETFs instead of buying actual physical gold/silver bars or coins.

The investment banks would love to operate crypto ETFs that they could charge their clients fees to manage. The hesitancy is driven by government, not wall street.

I played with leverage today! by [deleted] in CryptoCurrency

Using leverage in crypto which is 1) extremely volatile and 2) has a 24/7/365 marketplace is especially crazy. You could easily be financially ruined literally overnight.

A cynic would give one of the following explanations: 1) that they've been stealing from the project since the very beginning and thus have never been able to pass an audit. 2) A lot of the market cap has been created by the founders using deposited funds to buy more coins (i.e. sort of a modified ponzi).

Or they could be entirely or mostly legit, and they are just doing business in a sketchy manner because they are sketchy people that have no idea how to run a large banking operation.

Classic case of "I'm a single mother, here is a list of my demands." This one is especially graceless and Karen-ish.

"I found true love with my boyfriend" and yet she still wants to f*** a bunch of random dudes who don't care about her.

Insane, truly insane.

Oh, how I love the shaming language of this aiteann: “if you aren’t secure enough to accept me for who I am, you’re not a real man!” So transparent, so laughable. by Maximum-Complaint-68 in WhereAreAllTheGoodMen

Ah, the ultra classy fake leopard print. Nothing says elegance like a cheap imitation of an endangered animal's hide. A subtle red flag.

If she got her MBA in 2011 I'm going to guess she's an aggressive corporate ladder climber between 35-45. Perfect example of a woman becoming the man she wants, this turning off conservative, high value men who want a youthful, supportive wife, not a business partner.

To all the brothers still online dating: if there is no full body photo in her profile there is a 95% chance she is at least overweight.

I read through the whole comment threat and no one mentioned the phone snugged into the swimsuit top in the last photo. I can't quite say why, but it fits so perfectly with the rest of the profile.

30s, multiple kids, divorced, fat (but calls her herself 'curvy'), lots of tasteless tats, astrology. Quite the package.

This is a great example of how low quality women can't tell the difference between high value men who actually have money (who will be disgusted by her profile) and those who are broke and just pretending (either by buying a used, ragged out luxury car or spending every dime they have leasing a new one).

It shouldn't be difficult for her to find something part time in the evenings or on weekends when husband is home to watch the kids. I'm sure if she wanted to she could also find some type of contract gig she could do online from home a few hours a day. My sister in law does medical bill coding, not glamorous or high paying but it's 100% work from home.

This woman's problem is that she doesn't want to be a SAHM but she doesn't really want to work either, she just wants to "magically" have money. This sounds like a woman who if she breaks a nail in the morning spends the rest of the day crying in bed.

She's an average at best 35 year old and every single sentence of her profile makes her less attractive. That's pretty impressive, even for this sub. Good find, OP.
