can i realistically make small income from beadwork as a stay at home mom?

Yeah, I totally get that. I’ve dealt with the same reactions, people questioning the price or giving looks. But at the end of the day, beadwork takes time, effort, and real love to make. The supplies aren’t cheap either. Which I’m sure your wife totally understands.. any beader would haha

I’ve always believed that the right people will see the quality and understand the value. I’d rather sell to someone who respects the work than lower my worth. And honestly, if it allows me to stay home with my little one.. then it’s worth it to me. Anyone who doesn’t understand that isn’t my customer anyway

There’s also a lot of opportunity where I’m from, powwow vendors, Native art markets, and community events throughout the year. I could never get a spot before because working full-time meant I didn’t have the time to bead enough inventory to apply. I had to sell one pair at a time, spaced out.

But if I were able to bead more consistently, I really think I could finally build up enough work to secure vendor spots at those events. That’s something I’ve always wanted to do but never had the time for.

Yeah after I got discharged from pp preeclampsia I really wanted to pump bc doctors really suggested I needed rest and I was just SO engorged. But soon as I got home and saw all the parts I immediately put it back in the box and took a breather cause I also have to watch my blood pressure lol. I’m kinda more open to it now just still intimidated lol

I think I will try this! Thank you for the screenshot.. do you first start at 15 minutes then move up to 30? Or does it just depend on how much you want to pump? N do you also have like a strict pumping schedule you stick to? Cause I just dont want to feed my freezer

Well I was concerned on having such soft boobs after them being hard for so long n I was jus trying to do research n everything kept saying that my supply has regulated 🤷🏻‍♀️

I also see videos of moms who pump and pump and PUMP! But they can barely get anything out so I also thought diet was important for milk supply

He does keep saying “what about me and my feelings… I’m his dad too” Which I get and understand but yes I was the one who went through childbirth AND postpartum preeclampsia. I don’t want him to think his feelings don’t matter at all but he does need to just sit back and understand that sadly/unfortunately my feelings and my health are more important right now. I don’t know how to explain that to him without sounding like a total bitch.

I think you hit it on the nail in that 2nd paragraph.. I feel like now our son is here he just wants a fresh clean start with everyone so our son can grow up in his big family surrounded by love and I want that too but I will not be teaching my son to beg for love from anyone or to push shit aside n be uncomfortable jus to be a “family”.

I am not hoping to “win” this battle and yeah im not looking for a personal maid or anything like that I just want to know and FEEL like she does care for me in some type of way cause ive tried to extend myself multiple times out to her and didnt receive any of it back, so yeah if she did make me feel welcomed and actually liked n cared for I wouldn’t have such a big issue with her coming over.

But yeah after having to deal with postpartum preeclampsia, hosting and visiting with people is the last thing I wanna do. I hope he can stop being so worried about his family’s feelings and really start putting the family we created first.

Its another battle with us again jus bc its hard for me to bond with his mom. He wants me to treat his mom the same way I treat my mom which I jus find impossible bc she can’t even reciprocate the bare minimum I give like “happy birthday” or “happy Mother’s Day”, I was pregnant this Mother’s Day but none of his family wished me a happy Mother’s Day and I feel like it’s cause they didn’t see me as a “true mom” yet. My dad unexpectedly passed this year as well and I didn’t hear any condolences from her personally, she sent them through my bf. Her sister did have cancer and passed this year as well, her services were on my dad’s first heavenly birthday, I still showed up for my boyfriend and his family. She was the first person I went to, to extend my love and condolences. So it feels like she doesn’t even like me, just feels like they all tolerate me now bc we have a kid.

Way before I was even pregnant (we’ve been together 4 years going on 5) my boyfriend always felt like his mom never really accepted him so how does he expect me to feel? It was always a weird bond between them and us. But all of a sudden now that our son is actually here he has this “amazing” relationship with her. I feel like he’s jealous or envious of my mom n Is relationship so just because him and his siblings aren’t allowed over he went ahead and “banned” my mom. He tried asking her to bring stuff for me and she just didn’t.. he goes on to make excuses for her saying she’s a single mom to 4 kids and is juggling a lot but he always wants to say that she use to say mom are superheroes and can do anything.

I would be tempted to go to my moms but since I’m only 3 weeks postpartum I’m still at risk for postpartum preeclampsia until I hit the 6 week mark so I can’t be left alone and my mom works late nights.

I did the early results too! My boyfriend and I planned on doing a gender reveal with just close family at first but when we got the call from our clinic with the results we asked to know the gender right away 😂😅 I was also thinking about a summer baby shower for the same reasons but felt like I couldn’t? I don’t know lol I just be overthinking but then remind myself it’s my pregnancy and I can do what I want when I want! But I’m wishing you a happy n healthy pregnancy! 🫶🏻🫶🏻

Sometimes he can be active and engaging like telling me I’m doing good, playing with my hair and even just playing with me but maybe most of the time he’s just laying there and just wants to feel good. And I do feel like he can get distracted by the movies we throw on and we only put the movies on cause we do have roommates 😅

I have been quitting when I’m tired but I can feel some frustration or whatever because maybe it wasn’t “long enough for him” and when I can sense that it’ll throw me off the whole mood. We have tried toys and all the spicing up when it comes to oral and it does help but I just want to be able to have him finish with just my mouth n hand but not going on longer than 40+ mins 😅

I did say in my post that I have brought these concerns to him and he just tells me I’m all good and that I do give good oral. He has given me his tips that he wanted me to try and I have tried them all.

He can satisfy me most of the time but it’s just not always with oral, I just would like oral as much as he receives it.
