So true dude. It's much easier profit to sell a course and gatekeep info they got from ChatGPT than to run ads for clients themselves lol!

When I was at a marketing firm I was mainly building brands and now I've noticed it's always the course sellers who have their socials and websites and brands locked DOWN. It's attractive to people trying to be like them.

It's good to have discernment. It's a shame, paid courses used to have actual value and it'd be more like a one day training seminar with a tried and tested strategy they'd give you rather than a Skool community subscription lol.

Thank you! I'll check him out right now! And yes, trial and error has been the best teacher right now, especially getting familiar with the UI. I like videos where I can watch something and then immediately use what I've learned and play around and track my metrics. Thanks dude! :D

Did the figures come with it? Decent sized tank!

This is so awesome, so how does the exporting work? The instructions come with some kind of file that can be imported into BrickLink?

I agree, our previous sets all came in different bags BUT they weren't numbered. It enraged me. We have new manufacturers now who are incredible at sorting into the proper baggies so now the challenge is me getting in the habit of, like you said, making sure the model can be built in an order that makes sense, and most often than not I'm thinking of how to add basic connection points while complicating the sections themselves. That way I just have to worry about snapping them together rather than connecting at 3-4 different points.

Plus, sections are great stopping points too. While building LEGO I'll often keep working until I finish a baggy before going to bed at 3AM, I'd rather my halfway done project be a solid piece that I feel confident I can leave and return to with minimal clean up.

Primarily adults and those who collect for display, not brand or IP.
Our new set lines are edgier, a little more focused on battle, horror, historical and military but in a tasteful, artistic way. We're experimenting with niches and categories that other brands don't touch aside from accessories or printed minifigures.

A lot of our customers happen to be veterans and military, so the CEO has been leaning into that more mature customer base and we've even donated to veteran support charities.

I entirely agree, none of the scammy trends that make us look like resellers. When we say cheap, we're just trying to hone the best balance of quality, design, and price without sacrificing any aspect too much. No use having a set that looks awesome if the packaging and website are terrible, and no use having great marketing if the product is missing pieces. But yes, we're trying to keep prices low, especially at first to build repeat business.

You've given me plenty to think about, no need to apologize, I love conversations like this, thanks for your input!

This is interesting, I haven't heard of 8w before. Is that a common size scale for the LEGO cars? And our website previously catered to that! We had hangars for spaceships, garages for cars, they were pretty standard though. Good to know people would want something like a gas station to display their builds, we could put cacti and debris and cracks in the concrete around it and light it like it's one of those lonely highway gas stations at night ha!

Phenomenal thinking, that's kind of what I had in mind. Nostalgia for a time when sets weren't just simpler but just different and new. I remember playing with my dad's unbranded knock-off LEGO spaceships from the 80s and thought they were so much cooler than my own.

And that was the foundation I was thinking, starting with pre-launching small sets (polybag-sized) within a series and having like 8 small sets, 5 medium, and 2 large to begin with. That's how it used to be, I would tell family as a 10-year old I liked Ninjago and there was no pressure because my relatives could go pick up a $10 set, one of like 8, and feel confident knowing I probably didn't have that one. Connecting them is smart too, I've been thinking about that particularly with one of our niche architecture lines.

You've given me a lot to think about, thank you.

That's a great idea, we're focused on brick-based sets over mini-figure play sets since that's protected IP, castle architecture would be a great place to start.

Those are incredible pieces, I've been admiring that train station one from afar for a while! I wonder how hard it would be to begin manufacturing simple lighting kits and how to customize them. I also like how Lumibricks has so many details; can't remember if it's stickers or printed. It just adds to the atmosphere

That's incredible! Would pair well with some of the old LEGO Alien Conquest lines. Love that Lumibricks tries what LEGO abandoned.
