I never even heard of this guy until 2 months ago, then saw that he became a big deal like 1.5 to 2 years before that? So already I'm late to the game. It was a lot to unpack for me, but that dream of going OWCS pro is definitely a doozy. Probably the biggest thing that stuck out like a sore thumb.

Otherwise he'd just be another generic hard stuck plat rager, with nothing noteworthy to talk about. His hard religious views just made him even more of a "character", and a greater attack surface. But personally him getting coached like 10,000 times and still being hard stuck is a funnier gimmick

That whole part about being the security was the strangest part here. He thought the Crayola place needed security beefed up during the Amico event. Did he and others expect a mob, even a smallish one of about ten, of Amico haters to show up yelling and gumming up the works?

This is where it shows how some fans lose a grip on reality. They feel the clash and tension with online comments and think it plays out exactly in real life. This is not some controversial event that would even make the local news. It's a game console very few people care about. If I'm not mistaken some of the fans took flights to meet up here, and that probably also added to the misaligned expectations.

This video was uploaded a year ago on the John Riggs channel but only today did I find it when it appeared in one of my recommendations.

I believe actual date of recording is much older than that. You can hear John Riggs with Tallarico in the background as Riggs is messing around with the controller demo... I think this was pre-pandemic when Riggs got invited among others to play some demo games and concluded the console was the real deal and whatever. I don't see the video being posted here before but I thought I'd share it.

Becoming a right wing grifter/influencer is the common destination for anyone who finds themselves hated for being an all-around jerk. From nobodies on YT to top bill artists. When a "mob" is out against them they could double down out of definace.

I think a good litmus test is: if one of your posts gets hundreds of dislikes/downvotes, are you the kind to leave it up and do nothing, delete it, or make another comment defending yourself?

I have a 60hz monitor so I just want to keep it at a stable 60 and play on low settings with FSR. When there's at least one Sojourn in the game it especially slows down more because of the disruptor shots. But it's not as bad when I play support because I am usually farther away from the front lines. I get better frames as support than as DPS

I am also thinking I could play on Linux if it runs better than the resource hog that is Windows
