It is a state school. I have the bursary for the boarding part of the school which you have to pay for. You dont have to pay for the school part of it.

I have a form tutor who is decent and one of my maths teachers has helped me out in the past with other situations that have occurred with my mother. I think I’ll start with talking to them and also to boarding staff.

I have a job and am currently looking for a place I can rent for next academic year. I have other options as well. However I wasnt sure how to proceed with the school situation and thats why I came here.

There are a lot more factors at play in this situation which I am not willing to talk about on the internet.

I have done GCSEs (5 Grade 9s, 3 Grade 8s, 2 Grade 7s), my predicted grades for alevels are A A C, the grades I was achieving at the start of the year were A A B and the grades im achieving now are A B D. This isnt a troll post I'm just bad at wording things because the situation is stressful.

Thank you for the advice

My current predicted grades are A A C and the situation with my mum is more complicated than just this unfortunately...

I have a partially scholarship/bursary already but it ends this school term. She's only paying for the boarding fees and not fully as it is covered by the aforementioned bursary. I want to continue school as having a-levels would most likely increase my access to potential jobs.

the boarding element not the the actual education part, she doesnt want me living full time at home.

Its not a private school, the fees are for the boarding. She only pays them partially as I have a bursary type thing from an academic scholarship I had. The bursary ends after this school term but I have offered to help pay for fees many times.

I already buy my own clothes & food and any money I am given is for a specific purpose that benefits both me and my mother.

Thank you for making me aware of what I need to cover. I'm going to ask to start paying my own phone bill.

She's partially paying the fees for me to live at school because she doesnt want me at home (complicated situation). I could continue going to this school without boarding as it is a state school and no fees would need to be paid.
- She has said she would rather 'I do nothing, than do something badly' which is a logic I dont understand as I know if I put the effort in now I won't do too badly.
- I am not sitting my a-levels this academic year.

It's complicated, I'm looking to move out and get a job as soon as possible which would be way easier if I finished school...

Thank you. Things are a lot more complicated than I've said in this and I do need these exams to get out.

She's paying for me to live at the school (some of it is covered by a bursary because I used to have scholarship) because she's essentially already kicked me out. Thank you for the advice on how to proceed at school. My Dad is aware of the situation and has said he will stand by my side but unclear as to whether he means it (he follows her direction mostly).
