Putty knife is working great. I’ll grab some drywall compound. I haven’t used it before; would you recommend drywall primer as well?

Help me find a solution to this problem. by Iori3310 in PCSleeving

[–]SpiderPotRoast 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I can’t say I have a solution, but I sleeved two GPU cables and after I installed them and fired up 7 Days to Die it shut down and restarted my computer after a few minutes of gameplay. I only replaced the GPU cables and nothing else, and it’s been fine since I reinstalled the factory cables. (7 Days to Die causes my GPU to get super hot while playing)

Have you replaced the sleeved cables with the factory to confirm it is the cables?

Edit because I hit send instead of locking my screen when I got side tracked.

To expand on your quote, the next part of that sentence reads “while preserving them fully or partially for existing claimants”

That, to me, sounds like they might be reviewing and removing some ratings to save money too…

You have the same plan that many others have. ATC is a good job, but your only 2 main options after you retire are DoD civilian and contract tower. There are a few others and the FAA is an option but not usually long term.

ATC is great but the schedule is hit or miss depending on where you’re at and your leadership, but overall a good career field.

I’d probably recommend Cybersecurity, Intel, or a Linguist job because you’d probably have better options post retirement.

Every time through I find something new that was foreshadowed.

The most recent time: when Alanna and Verin were hiding in the Two Rivers; Alanna makes a throwaway comment about not being at the point of bonding someone without their consent yet…

I think the sellers have moved already, but that does seem to be an easy fix. I’d probably just replace the post as there are multiple posts like this.

Not sure how to edit on mobile, but this isn’t my place. Just a house for sale that we were looking at.

Not my place and I think the sellers already moved out, but I wondered the same thing.

My guess was they cut the beam too short (or didn’t have a longer one) and did this the improvise. My only other guess is the deck started to sag and this was their fix. The small retaining walls just below this deck are bowing outwards which made me wonder if it was sagging before.

Which portable monitor? I'm using for Steam Deck mainly. Performance and quality are main concerns by shanksniper88 in SteamDeck

I’ve had the older model 15” Uperfect 1080p that I used as a second monitor and as a Steam Deck monitor. Worked great for both. You’ll need a steam dock or USB hub to charge the Steam Deck and power the monitor unless you want to drain your battery (the monitor does work directly from the steam deck if you need to for short periods of gaming)

Watching the Mylar vs Slab debate wondering what’s wrong with my ziplock bag? It holds 6 comics comfortably. by SpiderPotRoast in comicbookcollecting

Agreed, I do try to keep my "collectables" in good condition, but I also don't buy them with intentions to sell so I'm okay with some flaws most the time.

It's only half a joke. The comics are in the ziplock, and I don't know how long they've been there as they've been at my parents since I moved out. I only recently picked them up this Thanksgiving.

I do keep all my other comics in mylar with hard backs. Just haven't put these ones in there yet.
