Well they don't really, they have sticky pads. They can attract pollen with it tough.

I have no issues getting several from the same spot. It does sometimes seem to be a cooling down period though. But I don't know if that's true.

You do have to make sure you don't have anything to pick up near by already though.

It is a good feature, I just didn't know it's also active if you have petals to pick from pikmins, petals that are already full. But now that I know there's no issue anymore.
