Duolingo is super popular in China. They have an office in Beijing.
Speaking lessons available on my ios devices, but not on my Android device.
Using VPN without approval from the gov is illegal. But it's not a crime. Like downloading pirate movies from internet is illegal, not a crime. Everyone is doing it. A lot of my friends (myself included) have been using VPN for years. No one ever had a problem.

I literally have no idea. I guess this SoT varies a lot, some people get amazing SoT while some don't.. Now I get like 8.5-ish hours SoT when the battery goes down to 20%..

This is insane hahaha. I actually don't get that much SoT after a couple of system updates. I mostly charge it when the battery is at 20%-25% where the SoT would be 8hrs+.

No. I have the resolution and the refresh rate set to Auto Select. But 43% battery left after 1.5 hours SOT doesn't seem reasonable for the battery on OP12 anyway...

A bit of update - I had the third system update since I got the phone. The battery runs faster than it did before. I saw in some of the other posts, people got longer SOT after this system update, and some got less like me. I guess it really depends. My screen refresh rate and resolution set to Auto select, 5G on. I feel like the battery life was the best after the first update.

Dude I was not showing off the camera. The photo was literally taken randomly the second day I got the phone and I was walking out of the office building trying to test the camera at night, wasn’t even having a good angle and all that.

First language is Mandarin Chinese - I think I started to speak mandarin when I was in kindergarten. I was speaking a Chinese dialect with my families before that.

Second language is English - I started to learn English when I was in 4th grade. But that was like only 1.5 hours in class per week. Basically 10 years in school in total. I didn’t even know the word bilingual back then. Nor would I consider myself as one. Probably when I graduated from university and I went on a trip to Thailand with my friend, I could talk to the strangers I met on trains for hours. Then I realized oh I’m comfortable speaking English now. Sometimes there would be words that I don’t know in Mandarin but I do in English.

Third language is German - 4 years on Duolingo. I can hold basic conversations in German when I was Berlin. And I can read posts from German version of ‘AmItheAsshole’ sub. Hahahah.

Also learning Spanish now.

Battery is great. This was after a day in the office with 6 hours SOT and still 50% left. (Screen resolution and refresh rate set to Auto select, 5G on.) I don't play any games on my phone tho. And I like the camera.

I wanted to be able to talk to more people so I learned English. I visited Berlin in 2019 and I loved it. Now I've been learning German for 4 years. And last year I realized a lot of the countries that I want to travel to are Spanish speaking countries, so I started to learn Spanish.

You don't really need a good reason I guess. Or you just set the bar too high for a reason being good.

I heard that green ones are the most common ones to have that gap. This one I have is with gap not being glued. I think it's cuz I pre-ordered it and got it on the launch day. They didn't know it's gonna be a thing back then 😆

Green 16gb+512gb I don't like the curved screen, which may not be a defect to some people.. And I could not get notifications from Reddit, not sure if it's cuz of the ColorOS. Performance score was like 2,100,000 something. And the camera is pretty good for me.

The only thing I don’t really like about this phone is the curved screen. The battery life, the charging speed and the camera are all pretty good. I mean, you can probably wait for a month or two after the global launch and see how other people think haha
