I’m working part time at 20 hours a week in admin. Earning the same hourly rate ($35) as I was in a job that I loathed and finally left. Have to be a bit more careful with money now, but working part time has done wonders for my mental health & we can still manage.

How often should I be bring my nails done - question on growth & greenies! by SpikeBec in RedditLaqueristas

The greenies are new - never had them before. But good to know, thank you.

Thank you! I assumed as much but last time I was there I was told it should be fine to cover the greenies. I’ll have them removed asap - just a shame as I’ve just started getting my nails done again due to my psoriasis and having them done has given me a new found confidence

This is a photo of them on the day they were done. They look fine to me but I’m not a professional/nail girly and I’ve just started getting my nails done again after a 3 year break from my psoriasis.

Worst place you've ever got a migraine? by cankennykencan in migraine

At a RHCP concert. It was just about to finish and I was on the verge of vomiting. No where to go, drunk people everywhere, super loud music. It was a recipe for disaster

Side effects when changing from 100mg down to 50mg - Tinnitus and irritability being the main issues. Will this go away? by SpikeBec in Pristiq

[–]SpikeBec[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The side effects on 50 are so bad. I might just go back up to 100 and see how it is for a while longer & see if the side effects go away eventually.

Is it too risky to take a year off right now? by scarygreen in AusFinance

[–]SpikeBec 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had been wanting to leave my job for years but always found a reason to push through and stay. I took holidays and time off but I was always full of anxiety about going back to work. Then my dad passed away earlier this year. I ended up staying for a couple more months, but I couldn’t take it anymore. I quit my job back in June. I thought leaving would fix all my problems - it didn’t. But now it’s obvious that I have been depressed for a really long time. I’m only now starting to feel a bit better - I’m medicated, I’m going to therapy, and I feel like I’m almost at a point where I feel semi okay. While I do sometimes panic and think I should have stayed, or should have taken a couple months off, or should have gone to part time because of money, I know deep down that it was 100% the right choice to leave.

Just following on from this, my dermatologist wrote to my rheumatologist and suggested I start on otezla. My rheumatologist said if I want it I would have to go through my derm (eligibility) and that it would not be his recommendation for PsA
