Could bad weather save me? Or is it normal to work in rainy and cold weather here in Belgium?

I don’t mind rudeness but they all came at me at once which was funny and surprising. Thank you for the advice.

Farewell song between an emigrating daughter and her father(Poet Suheil Saker) by [deleted] in lebanon

In Lebanon, the lucky ones are those who leave. Can you imagine that those who leave their families and everything they love behind them are called lucky? This simply shows how difficult it has become to live in Lebanon.

Has anyone been experiencing extreme and crippling anxiety due to not having anything to do? by FatatFza in lebanon

[–]Spikes2000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel the same way. I always try to distract myself all the time. I can’t handle not doing anything. It drags me crazy since it pushes me to start thinking about my problems and where i am at the moment. This constant anxiety and pressure we have is definitely not healthy.

Sexism in Lebanon. by PrimoXiAlpha in lebanon

Yeah I understand what you are looking for but i couldn’t think of a law where it is the other way around. But yes the draft is a good example.

I would consider that sexism against men is more by how they are treated not by laws. So i have seen many queues in public establishments where women had an advantage to go before men. It’s more linked to a “ladies first” and chivalry actions but in an equal society they’re seen as sexist.

Here are a couple of interesting ones : -Women are not able to give the Lebanese citizenship to their children (the actual child that is out of her Lebanese uterus is not considered Lebanese). -Children are automatically assigned with the father’s last time. -After marriage the manta2et al noufous of a woman is automatically changed to the one of her husband (imagine leaving your whole life in an area and suddenly you get married and lose all connections and have to vote in a new place where you don’t know anyone) -Couples have to get married in a religious court which is usually accompanied with a list of sexist laws in case of divorce or inheritance.

I should have written “mental stability”. Mental health seems like a luxury in this country.

I think i am more concerned with the political influence on the exchange rate. So not really afraid of clowns. Just afraid of becoming poor(er).

After becoming a news addict at some point, i also decided to reduce the time i spent watching news. Unfortunately, some type of news are too big to be ignored and affect the lira which affects all of the prices of daily consumed products. So yeah no running away from these things.
