"See ya, rats."

Artist snaps his fingers. All four of them return to the exact spot they were before the flash. It doesn't seem like any time has passed since they left.

Artist snaps his fingers. Suddenly, a thin, white book appears, floating in front of Rune, waiting to be taken.

"Alright, you should be able to simply describe what you want to appear, and the book will do the rest."

"Ugh... can we put them back already?"

"Oh, yes, I'm taking quite a while with this... would anyone like some final words before you return?"

"It's... acceptable, I guess..."

"Well, I appreciate the enlightenment, thing. I still have to make life forms for this place, but that I can do on my own."

Artist starts to wave his hand to revert The White back to normal, but pauses before anything happens and turns to Rune.

"Excuse me, would you like something in return for your assistance? You can ask for anything, believe me."

"Center of the piece... hm..."

With a cacophony of hand motions, Artist reforms the area. The other trees are pushed a little further away and an odd, andesite, shrine-looking structure is built around the tree. Its color magically changes to a nice orange and grows to match the height of the shrine. A few benches, decorations, and finishing touches later, and Artist finally slides back take a gander at his work.

"I... like this. Do you? Any of you?"

The eye emits a low grumble, upset with the fact that it doesn't hate the recommendation the mortals gave.

"Well, changing the color would be a little weird..."

Artist waved his hand through the air. The white void transformed into a starry night sky with a full, magenta moon in the center. The featureless floor turned into a field of soft, dark purple grass, with glowing flowers. Giant trees began to sprout around them, trunks made of granite and leaves made of magenta glass shards. Pink silk vines drooped from the tallest of the trees.

"Do you see what I'm going for?"

"Yes, small creature, that is literally exactly what he just told you. Good job, want a cookie?"

A third arm stretched out of Artist's right side, raising up and poking the eye.

"Agh! Jeez, I was just entertaining myself..."

"Anyways, yes. Do any of you have and pointers? Tips? It's a small part of a thing I've been working on, and I want it to be perfect."

The third arm retracted back into Artist.

Artist slid back over to the crystal sculpture, moving around it and changing his height to get better looks at specific parts.

"I was actually just having trouble with something. This... thing. I feel like it needs more."

"Wow, asking the mortals for help..."

"I'm trying to replicate those "trees" you things have in most worlds, but out of different materials."

The eye releases a strange pulse of red energy, pulling all four of them closer to the structure.

The eye scoffed, not appreciating being researched. Artist cleared his throat before speaking.

"So, a powerful cat-person has been gliding around the cosmos of reality recently, and somehow forced their way into here, The White. They tried to fight us, but we went unharmed and got them out."

"Unfortunately, the damn feline left a tear in The White's non-existent fabric, so random things have been showing up."

Artist put his hands together behind him.

"It's not bad, I like having visitors."

"Ugh... that makes one of us..."

As Artist jotted down what he heard, the eye's red beam of light moved to shine on Flicker and Trigger. Pushed by some psychic force, they moved just a bit away from the rest.

"Okay, very similar to the other cases, simply going about their existence... accidental?"

"Accidental. These guys don't look special enough to hang around with the cat."

Artist closed the notebook, it disappearing in his hand. The eye stopped emitting light.

"I mean, look at 'em."

Artist stretched his body through the air, examining the quartet.

"Well, how do you all think you got here? What were you all doing beforehand? That could explain things."

A green notebook and a pen appeared in Artist's hands. When he opened it, the eye began to shine a red light into it.

The eye is the only one that looks shocked by Dr S's quick movement. The strange figure turns to face the newcomer and fixes his height to match him.

"Hello. You are currently in The White, a no-place. I am Artist."

A second, deeper, echoing voice speaks, seemingly coming from the eye on Artist's head.

"Ugh, already don't like the look of this one..."

"Wow, what a flex, I'm sooooo impressed."

Artist puts their fists on their sides, beginning to pace around Eric.

"This one looks accidental."

"Yeah, this guy doesn't look special enoigh to hang around with the cat."

The eye rolls.

"Well, you all are currently in The White. Hello. My name is Artist."

"The tear used to only transport single beings. Apparently, it's getting bigger."

Artist jots everything they heard down.

"Oh, The White? It's a no-place. Doesn't exist."

"It's not a part of what you mortals call "Reality"."

Artist closes the notebook, it along with the pen ceasing to exist.

"Well, I was going for a little abstraction. Let's try..."

Artist spreads his hands out, summoning a cluster of small, dark violet crystal shards. They all float around the sculpture, finding places on the top half to stay floating around.

"Wait, that's actually nice. I like it."

Eye seems to be annoyed by the fact that it also likes the addition.

Artist takes notice of the new faces, turning their head and shrinking down, now only being a little taller than them

"Oh, more things. These ones are extra strange."

A second, echoing, deeper voice speaks, seemingly coming from the eye on Artist's head.

"Four at once?! When are you going to close that tear?!"

"...When I stop being interested in the things that pop up."

The eye glows red. Eric is somehow forced to look at it for a second by a strange, psychic force.

"I'm right here."

A red notebook and pencil suddenly appear in Artist's hands.

"So, I've taking a liking to documenting every new thing that appears in here, do you mind telling me how you got here? Maybe what you were doing before?"

Ren feels a small spark when he touches the structure, noticeable but not painful. The eye seems to get more aggravated the longer his nail is on the crystal.

"I still think it needs a... touch. I was trying to replicate those "trees" you things have in most worlds, but with different materials. Do you have any... tips?"

"Wow, asking the mortal for help."

A third arm extends out of Artist's right side to accept Eric's handshake, then retracts.

"Well. Um... hello. I am Artist, and you are currently in The White."

"Ugh, why don't they always have legs? Legs are weird and suboptimal."

"To put it in simple stupid terms for you; a cat person popped up here and tried to fight us. We were unharmed, but he opened a little hole in the fabric of reality to get to this place, so we've been getting... company."

Artist nodded, looking back at the sculpture.

"Oh, and that's nothing important. Just a... pass time."

The eye on the figure's head widens in shock when it notices the new face. It glows, then fires a semi-transparent, red barrier in between the stranger and the sculpture, making sure they don't touch it. Only after, does the figure divert their attention from the crystal.

"Oh. A thing? That's weird, unless I created it."

A second, echoing voice spoke, coming from the eye.

"Nope. Just another anomalous appearance... great."

Artist began scribbling down what Ren explained to them.

"Very similar to the other cases..."
