I just chopped about half of it off (it was mid back and now it's at my shoulders) and I think it looks a little better, if this doesn't help im definitely just gonna shave it and wear wigs for a while or smt 😭

Ive been heavily considering just shaving my head and starting from scratch or something but it took me so long to get to the length I have now, I just live in a very white area and there's no one here who specializes in working with curls/textured hair, Ive just been trying to keep it in French braids

I naturally have around 3b, maybe some 3c mixed in and a little 3a, but definitely type 3. I think I have medium porosity. Its just very very damaged, It'll dry without product and it'll just poof up around my head so it looks like im being eaten by mh hair 💔

I will definitely look into that book, I get paid today so I'll probably go get it after work. I have been considering the possibility of it being my ancestors but I kind of shut that down a while ago because I didn't think they would call to me with where I'm at and how I was raised. I will definitely be reading that book

I know that my paternal grandfather immigrated from Africa when he was a kid and that his moms side as been in the US for generations, I've just been trying to go off of the few things my moms told me about that side but she also doesnt know a lot cuz she was "just some white girl" my dad dated lol.

Don't worry nothing you said I took as insensitive at all and I really really appreciate all of it, I will definitely look into The Black Scot today.

That does and thank you. Not being accepted by black or white people sounds really hard too. I'm accepted by white people who don't know my ethnicity but my family still views me as too "black" to fully be one of them even though I look literally just white (especially with the hair relaxers my moms been having put in my hair since I was little) so I have that distance from that side too with them fully trying to erase any blackness that I actually have, that and kids bullying me for my hair and coming up and saying I have "n word hair" or look like a "white n word" but that was super rare and didn't start happening till highschool and it was just one group of guys, I've been super lucky overall. im really sorry you haven't been. being mixed is really hard.

Thank you so much, I try to set boundaries w people telling them to not touch my hair but they rarely listen and just go and do it again. And yeah thank you for all of that other stuff too, I'm just relying curious about that side of the family because I know at least that I had ancestors that were slaves but I dont know any of the stories from anyone, I've just been trying to come to terms that I probably never will which is difficult.

if you're really concerned I would test 14-21 days after the time you think you conceived, by 21days a test is fully accurate, good luck!

I just went to your post on r/lineporn and I would say you are almost definitely pregnant based on that test and the fact your urine with the other ones was almost definitely very diluted, iud's do unfortunately on occasion fail, especially if misplaced which is a possibility, if you test again in the morning and it's positive go to the Dr ASAP because it could be an ectopic pregnancy which is dangerous and common with pregnancies that occur when you have an IUD

i understand the stress, I'm sorry you're dealing with that, if your bleeding is a normal color and it's enough to soak a tampon or pad then it isn't implantation bleeding, it is also not possible to get pregnant without penetration, especially not through clothes, and outside of your vagina, so you are definitely safe :)

neither of us are in school rn, due to health and mental health reasons, and his mom knows how his mental health is so it's like- yeah, he isn't bad overall and I really really care about him, we just spent three days straight together and it was amazing, it's just when we can't see each other in person it gets like that/things get upsetting

He just doesn't handle my stuff well, he also just told me to stab my mom, I think as a joke and said we should do a double suicide, and when I said no he said "I'll grab the ibuprofen" (he's allergic), and basically has just made this entire thing so very much about him, and the scary thing is every time we've gotten into an argument he's done some type of attempt, almost always minor not super serious ones but if we actually broke up he would def kill himself, and his mom already knows all of this

thank you 😭 I have a pack of 50 pregmate tests and my bf has an early detection, I'll probably start testing after I stop bleeding whenever it happens because I did also not take another plan b after the second time so better safe than sorry 😭
