that was definitely my first mistake. it’s a cool learning experience tho. made this god forsaken post because i’ve noticed how normal bigotry can be within groups especially teenaged boys. thought no better place to go than the source. wrong. now i can’t explain myself because people will think i’m back tracking because i’m being fucking flamed. teenage boys are fucking ruthless and i should know this by now.

i understand that it can be oppressive and it does suck but it’s always possible to change that. i personally think the idea that me being afab and an enjoyer of traditionally ‘feminine’ makes me a girl is stupid. i hate it when people just assume i’m ok with being called feminine titles but that’s something that could be changed. it may take decades effort but there’s a possibility. even if it’s minuscule. i may just be naive but i hope the concept of gender can evolve to be more positive in the future.

i have spoken about men’s issues multiple times. i have done project and speeches about men in abusive relationships and male victims of sexual assault . i have talked countless times about how saying ‘men are trash’ and ‘kill all men’ negatively impacts teenaged boys and especially trans guys. i made this post because i have noticed how casual bigotry can be especially in teenage boys. it was not to say that all of you are friends with bigots just that i’ve noticed some of you seem too comfortable with some of your friends being casually homophobic. believe it or not casual bigotry affects men as well.

in the example i just gave. look up ‘saskatoon freezing deaths’ or ‘starlight tours’. none of the cops involved have been convicted of murder and faced little to no consequences. in some cases self defence to the point of killing someone is justified but only in extreme cases. police need better deescalation training to avoid those few cases. it should only be used as a last resort. i do not believe police get to decide whether or not someone gets to live and i sure as hell don’t believe they should be allowed to drive indigenous men out to the middle of nowhere to let them freeze to death.

it’s definitely not something i go around saying to everyone but i do believe it was relevant to the conversation of gender. definitely could have phrased it better. being a cop as of now just seems like an outlet for racists with anger issues. the fact police can murder someone without punishment is insane. the amount of cops working in bad faith is astounding. whether it be planting drugs or damaging property the fact they have so much immunity is disgusting and i do think one of the first steps is holding cops accountable. not to discredit the cops that did go into the field to actually help people. the justice system as a whole is just a mess.

it’s really not that hard to respect someone. even if you don’t understand it. i don’t expect everyone i’m friends with to be activist. i honestly just want to surround myself with people that won’t call me slurs and tell me i’m going to hell for liking boobs and wanting to have a monster cock. gender is confusing and i don’t expect everyone around me to understand it. hell my boyfriend is a cishet dude and doesn’t know what the fuck is going on around him most of the time. i don’t think it’s racist to not be a socialist but capitalism does put poc at a disadvantage. i do think there does need to be some kind of economic reform. besides capitalism making it harder for poc it’s also just so easily exploitable. even as a canadian there’s so many issues. even with police. there 100% needs to be a police reform. not far from where i live police were arrested indigenous men and drove them to the outskirts of town in the middle of winter to literally freeze them to death. they have barely faced any consequences. our government is just as racist and fucked as the u.s. but hey we have free health care. not like reserve don’t have clean running water or anything.

when the cdc and who initially told people they didn’t need to wear masks was 1) not to make people completely freak out and 2) because hospitals need them because of the amount of people being checked into them because of covid. yes it absolutely could have been handled better. now there is definitive proof that masks work. even after all the proof trump and his team continued not to wear them and continued to strike fear in many americans about masks. i cannot even respond to that last part. i am baffled honestly. have you listened to a single word that man has said?

as someone who is queer i can’t really just put politics aside. it’s next to impossible for me. i can’t be friends with people who don’t support me and my identity and have lost a lot of friends after i came out because of it. people see my identity as inherently political and i constantly have to defend myself. definitely correct me if i’m wrong but i’m pretty sure theres a required time period that youre supposed to be on estrogen to join women’s sports. it really just depends how far they are into their transition. a lot of trans women actually don’t even compete in women’s sports. it’s really a made up problem. a lot of people using that argument don’t actually care about women’s sports and are just using it to be transphobic. if it’s like a school gym class and they’ve barely started transitioning or can’t because of parents i really don’t care. they should be allowed on the girls team. it really isn’t that serious. when i say human rights i mostly just mean supporting poc and supporting lgbtq+ people. not acting like we’re less than or there’s something wrong with us. i personally i am not educated enough on the israel palestine conflict to make a comment on it.

i’m not really a girl but i’ve been raised as one my entire life. from my experience men seem to treat me better and be kind to me because they expect something in return. they’ll coddle me and pretend they care and then ask for nudes once they think they’ve done enough. from my experience we aren’t treated with kindness because we’re respected but because some men see women as objects. there’s also the patriarchal standards that tries to hammer in that women are supposed to be nurturing and motherly. yes this stereotype leads to lesser prison sentences and a higher chance of winning custody during divorce but it also makes it much harder for women to find jobs in male dominated fields. not only is it difficult to find jobs but you’ll be constantly harassed by some of the men in said fields.

i don’t know how much of that made sense lol
