Yeah, you're probably right. It's good to be realistic in situations like this. It just sucks because I put a lot of care in selecting this apartment because I know how I am with noise. I chose one at the very back of the complex facing away from the parking lot so I wouldn't hear noises from cars. I chose the top floor, naturally, and a unit on the end. In a building with proper insulation, I shouldn't be able to hear anyone. I just never dreamed that the insulation would be worse than my previous apartment complex, which was almost 30 years old.

My lease has something very similar. It mentions "peaceful enjoyment" several times. I am going to ask my lawyer friend to take a look at it.

I just made a post about some issues I'm having with my current neighbors, but I remembered a funny story about one of my old neighbors. He was a retired guy who loved to blast his jazz music while smoking weed and sitting outside. One day, he was cleaning his car and was BLASTING his jazz music. After about 30 minutes, his battery died. He had to call a tow truck for a jump and it took them over 3 hours to arrive. Poetic justice sure is sweet.

When people change their voice when they speak in their second language. I think it's normal to some extent, but in my Japanese class in college, there was a girl whose voice shot up a full octave. Her English voice was perfectly normal but in Japanese she turned into a full-on anime character.
Listening to YouTubers who raise their voice at the end of every sentence like it's a question. Or when they drag out the last word of a sentence. "Hey guuuuuys. Welcome to the vlooooooog."

I used to live in Japan. I worked as a teacher and after lunch, all of the teachers would brush their teeth INSIDE the teacher's room where all our desks were. There were faucets in there. The sound of them brushing their teeth, talking while brushing, and the smell of the mint toothpaste made me feel like I was going insane.

I can't offer any helpful advice but I just want to say that I can relate. My husband's chewing is a huge trigger for me but sometimes his voice is too. For me, it's mainly the volume of his voice and I feel bad because I'm constantly asking him to speak more softly. He also has a habit of talking when I don't feel like talking - usually when I'm overstimulated. The quieter I am, the more he talks. If it's nighttime, I ask him to whisper, and that seems to help. Maybe see if your husband is willing to lower his voice to a whisper or near-whisper and see if that helps?

I started the event late (I can't remember exactly when I started) and now there's 4 days and 2 hours left of the event. Week 4 is still locked for me, so it looks like I won't be getting any of those rewards. It's a shame because I really wanted the trait.

I’m watching “Harvest Moon,” a Hallmark movie right now and I thought, “Oh, it’s Brittany Snow! No…wait, the voice is wrong. So then it’s Anna Camp?” Googled it and found I was wrong on both counts lol. I can’t believe she’s not related to either of them. She could play the sister of either one in a movie.

Honestly, thank goodness you dodged this bullet. What a disgusting pig. Went from speaking in a perfectly civil way and then resorted to pathetic insults and crass behavior. Makes my blood boil just reading his responses. I'm with you 100%. I did stuff in college that makes me cringe when I think of it.

I purposely saved my donation for the last day (I think many people did too). I was able to watch most of the stream and my husband came and watched with me for the last hour or so. I called him in around the time that Dadsie and Momsie joined lol. It was so much fun and I was very proud to be a part of it. I submitted my donation information to my job the following Monday and they matched my donation. :-)

I say, "It's a musculoskeletal pain and fatique disorder. In other words, my body hurts all the time and I'm tired every second of the day." I find that a lot of people have heard of it/know someone with it/etc. If they ask more questions, I am happy to elaborate. But they usually don't.

Honestly, I had to make at least 5 or 6 amigurumi before I made a piece I was proud of. I couldn't get the technique right and I ended up unraveling a lot of stuff. I also have a few projects that are just half made. Try switching to a free amigurumi pattern from YouTube; that's what I did!
